Thoughts on SC game next week

My thought right now is fill the damn stadium. These kids deserve it. It’ll be a bad look for this fanbase if there are 20k empty seats again.

Bama, Georgia, Florida, TxA&M, etc have full stadiums and we are lagging behind terribly.

Some of those teams have full stadiums when they are playing big games against top 10 teams but their stadiums are hardly full for every game. I was surprised at the amount of empty seats for LSU/Auburn last night. The upper level had huge sections that were half full at best. Bama, Georgia and Florida have empty seats at many of their games. It gets harder each year for teams to sell out games as more and more fans elect to stay home and watch their big HD TV. I say this as someone that thoroughly enjoys and prefers a full gameday of tailgating and watching a game inside Neyland.

We have played a tougher schedule. Our stats are similar on D , we are way ahead of Cocks on O.

We're banged up. With our depth issues, this is a concern. But if the team plays with the fire they did at Mizzou, they will likely win as long as additional key players don't also get injured. So I'll say it might be closer than we'd like, but we will manage to make those roosters into capons.

I’m comfortable with the def enough now that I think Heupel will score enough points to beat teams that struggle to score. That would be sc. sc will play much harder than Mizzou did. I’ll say 31-16 Vols

Mizzou actually has a decent offense and only scored 24...some against a defense with some walk-ons. South Carolina has a TERRIBLE offense. Their defense will put up more resistance than Mizzou, but the offense should be able to put up plenty of points as long as the issue with stupid penalties doesn't show up again. In other words, it should take a lot of mistakes by the Vols for it to be a game in the fourth quarter.
7 points were on the KO return.

Our games with SC are usually close so we need to play without a lot of penalties and don’t get too relaxed if we have a lead. I can see us winning by a lot or also winning or losing a close game.

Will this game be close or will the team continue to get better and it be another blowout. What are your thoughts?

I have a feeling, SC may disappoint some UT fans already celebrating a win. (I hope not)

Vol fans and the team need this win big time!
