Casey is one of the top qb's to ever play at UT. Casey beat one of the best Florida teams ever on their own home turf. Casey also stopped Miami's freakish home win streak causing the "I'm a freakin soldier" comments. Classic. Casey did the best he could with the talent and coaching he had. Even though Casey had a bad game against LSU in the SEC champ game it wasn't all of his fault we played third and chavis with up the middle every play Mauck.

iceman almost always came through when it mattered... what hurts him in some people's eyes is 2001 when we beat florida(the third most memorable game for me... next to fl 98 and the nc game) and had our bags packed for another nc game. only to have the sec champ game in the bag and lose to satan and lsu....

Exactley.. We had absolutely NO running game his junior and senior year. I thought Casey was a great QB for us.

Casey Clausen is A-OK in my book! He played hard and had some big games. He loved to battle.

On a side not..Casey was not undefeated as a starter his Freshman year...UT lost the K-State in the Cotton Bowl. So Casey had 1 loss as a Freshman starter.

he had a weird haircut and a big forhead, but he was a good player. Would LOVE to have him now.

All I can say is that almost every man can find a girlfriend.. Look at us and see how hard it is to find a good QB. :dance2:

Most memorable play i remember in Clausens career is when he hit Fayton on 4th and 19 against Bama in 03 in overtime.

Casey was a very good QB. At least we knew we had a chance to win with the exception of the Gators. Once we can beat the Gators 7 out of 10 then we're better off.

Loved Casey clausen. My dad didnt like him and didnt like Ainge. He however was stoked about Crompton coming in as alot of us were. But my dad was one of the last to finally acknowledge that Jonathan just doesnt have IT. (IT... Being all it takes to be a qood QB) He just didnt like how Clausen and Ainge presented theirselves as West coast cocky fellas. i called it swagger. something tells me My pops isnt going to under appreciate Tyler Bray now that he has seen what an East coast country boy from the hills of NC can do! Casey is a legend. I loved when he said he could have beaten Georgia with 1 arm tied behind his back that year. i agree with him we almost won anyways with James Banks running all over the place clueless all day.

The Iceman is one of my all time favorite Vols. I have a #7 jersey because of him. I'm not sure he really is appreciated for how good he was.
