Those Talking about Playoffs

And to give equal time to the other side of the ball - Tennessee is second in offensive yards per game with 511 which is 2 yards behind Arkansas. Missouri is 4th - so Missouri is 4th in offense and second in defense.
Mizzo has only played 1 decent team, Bama. They have their toughest stretch coming up. They will probably lose another 3 games.

Missouri isn’t winning out with their remaining schedule. Will be underdogs in 3/5 remaining games. I think they lose this weekend. Need Oklahoma to beat Ole Miss this weekend

With Penn State collapsing, the SEC gets 4 2 loss or less teams in without question

I don’t see this team winning out. But if they did that means they’ve won 5 in a row with the only losses being Georgia and Alabama. I would be shocked if we didn’t get in at that point.
Saturday's team won't win out. If we regroup this week, it's more than possible.

Yeah. Kind of a KY schedule in recent past years. Weak front end. Get to 6-0 or 5-1, lot's of hype, then the gauntlet. This year seems KY got the reality on the front end.

I repeat. Not losing twice in Knoxville and Pavia will have our defense zoned in with bulletin board material by then.
Because bulletin board material really motivated our defense vs Bama right? I mean I hope im wrong but I don't see the defense stopping anyone with a competent offense.

Mathematically we still have a shot...but we ain't getting to the playoffs. I've seen enough of this team now to know the deficiencies we have are not going to get fixed this season and other teams will exploit them. We have, at least, two more losses on our schedule. So brace yourselves because its coming.
Before the season even started every pro analyst on VN said this was not a playoff team this year and 9-3 would be huge. now everyone's pissed we might be 9-3.

I'm not pre-counting OK a loss. They just got waxed by a stalled TX team last week. It's the SEC. Anyone can lose anytime. Just 3-4 years ago, that UGA & Bama game both would have been humiliating. This year pretty even. It's a wild west shootout as soon as you depart from from that OOC plane and land back in country.

That defense didn't let Bama brutilize us as bad as people are wanting to argue on here. They never put that game away. We stuffed the turkey and handed it to them. As bad as we played, we were in that game until about 6 minutes left. defense was probably where I expected for the evening. We lost that game on Offense saturday IMO. That was not the same offense that played in Athens on the road. And certainly not the one we've seen all our other games. We know going in most every week we need 35+ to win. So, the D with it's injuries and limitations was about where it was expected to be. Enough stops when need to give hte O a chance, and they were truly off the first time this season. And we've put up the O we have even with stone hands. I can think of 3 drives we clearly were marching the field at will and effed it up. If we played that same game against a Saban team, we lose by 40.

It came down to just a hand full of plays. The safety, which was all on JA. He had MK open underneath. The pic6 which was a bad pass on a bad play call. The 3 and out after the fumble recovery at around midfield and the subsequent 99 yard drive.

That's pretty much it as I recall. The safety was one of my references on failed drives. IIRC, when you got the right end zone camera on the replay, there were actually two receivers wide open about 5-7 yards out left and right underneath before he even started going down. No DB or LB in the path of either throw. He flinched.

Only one thing left to do….. win out. Do that, we are probably ranked in the top 7 -or higher -at 10-2…. I’m here for that ****

Yes, RB Thomas I believe was open also.

Not sure their offense is. You have to spy Pavia and make him beat you from the pocket. LSU went braindead and didn't account for him multiple times Saturday. It really doesn't surprise me Vandy beat LSU. They can't run the ball at all.
Green is a better QB than Pavia, defense spied him pretty well.

We actually got stops at times and forced a turnover and out gained them. Also held them under 400 yards. It was enough to win the game, but the offensive coaching and execution were abysmal. The defense does get stops and forces turnovers, the problem is consistency.

373 yards is horrible defense. No sacks, the times we got stops were mainly when Alabama messed up for Tennessee to win Alabama was gonna have to beat Alabama.

Maybe thomas was one of the two I saw. One was sitting about 2-3 yards deeper but both inside the 10. Both no wider out than a TE alignment on both ends. Easily within the viewing angle for a veteran. You only really see it from the center end zone camera. But, if you see that play from that camera you also get a better view of when he went down. He had a couple secs to see either of those and unload free of charge. And he should of known the house was coming and he had to make a quick throw.

It’s not great at all, but 373 isn’t awful. Not in this world of college football .
