We would have to win out. We would also need Ole Miss and Missouri to lose, and we need ND to lose. We also need Texas Tech to lose, I think we would jump Virginia in the polls if we won out.. ESPN give us a 18% chance to make the CFP.

Missouri isn’t winning out with their remaining schedule. Will be underdogs in 3/5 remaining games. I think they lose this weekend. Need Oklahoma to beat Ole Miss this weekend

With Penn State collapsing, the SEC gets 4 2 loss or less teams in without question

I don’t see this team winning out. But if they did that means they’ve won 5 in a row with the only losses being Georgia and Alabama. I would be shocked if we didn’t get in at that point.

Notre Dame is not losing, the USC game was the only team IMO that could have beat them on that mediocre schedule. They are not playing that power house Northern Illinois this year.

Mathematically we still have a shot...but we ain't getting to the playoffs. I've seen enough of this team now to know the deficiencies we have are not going to get fixed this season and other teams will exploit them. We have, at least, two more losses on our schedule. So brace yourselves because its coming.

It is fun to keep playoff discussions alive so keep on rolling. Vols will need a big statement win like Oklahoma to get back in real contention and Vandy may be beat up by year end so 10-2 is not impossible. We will see Saturday if the team has the willpower to get up off the mat and play serious football. The Vols sure have had comical head scratching moments. This team certainly has vast room for improvement.

The two teams we’ve lost to are consensus playoff teams at this point. We lost in over time after blowing a lead. And without 9 points defensively on bad plays it’s a one score game at bama and we played not so great.

Win out and you have a chance to right those losses. We host the toughest teams at home. Where we usually play well. Handle business at Kentucky and get ready for a monster atmosphere for dark mode with Oklahoma. We lost, it’s over. I complained about it with the best of them but the season is still in front of us until we lose again. That’s a fact.

This is not a playoff team. Too many coaching errors and defense is well below standards to make a legit run.

Really - this just needs to stop. This team is just as much a playoff team as most teams in the top 20 or so. There is NO PERFECT TEAM out there. OSU is close at times, but they will lay an egg at Michigan - they do every year.

If you want to say this team, at this point, is not a National Championship type team - fine say that. But there will be 11 teams in the playoffs that are playoff teams but not a national championship team. And undoubtedly some of you who are saying Tennessee is not will be complaining loudly about 3 or 4 teams that make the playoffs that should not be there.

Georgia has gotten incredibly lucky - they too make mistakes but have found a way to win. You would probably say they are a playoff team - but yet they have NO DEFENSE - none. We scored at will on them. Ole Miss scored at will on them - it was the Ole Miss defense that collapsed. We shot ourselves in the foot by not keeping the steam on in the 4th quarter.

If they played today, I sure as hell wouldn't feel good about it.
They're a good team, it's not the Vandy of old. NIL has helped them big time
They're cocky and they believe in themselves and that makes them dangerous.
You know they want to come into our house and put an end to our season if we're on the bubble of going 10-2.
We got behind early to them last year on some fluke plays but our defense was good enough to shut them down the rest of the game., this year not sure thet can
I also expect them to run trick plays, Pavia running multiple times to get the 1st down and they'll throw everything at us.
Can we hold up. Guess we'll see.
