"This is not a family"

And if I heard Dooley correctly, he told JH11 that "playing wideout ain't clean and easy". I take that to mean he wont be getting a free release off of the line like he does in practice here :eek:hmy: . He has to use his hands to beat the corner at the line. Then run the route on the safety. Wr 101. Hunters problem is that while he is a once in generation athlete, he has no toughness and fight. Most NFL corners will manhandle him at the line. Easily. Picture how Tillman handle Megatron™. Hunter would be crying for a flag all game long! That boy ain't ready to play pro ball. He may need the money (don't we all!) but he ain't physically or mentally ready.

Megatron sealed my win this week in FF. :dance2:

Ainge has taken a couple shots at JH because of this. Nothing serious but pretty funny

In my family, sometimes the parents have to explain the reality of a situation to the teenager/young adult. The young people don't t like it and get mad, especially when they know the parent is right. So, sounds like a family to me. My family members don't speak to the media every day though.

He hasn't put forth his best effort. He's riding this year out to go make money. In a way you can't blame him. If something happens to that knee again, his career is toast. To me it's just sad to see him running backwards and costing us even more yards.

You didn't even get my point. Dooley is calling out his best player on the team, and yet he has nothing to back in up in doing so. No SEC Championships, no SECE titles, not even a win against a rival.

As far as the job thing goes, a good boss doesn't call out his employees in front of customers either, period.

Justin Hunter is definitelly not the best player on the team. He was thought of as that last year before the injury. Not anymore. CP is the only real playmaker on offense. AJ is a stud on defense. Those two are definitely potential first rounders. Period.

You think you're that someone?

I'm far from the smartest guy in the room, but Dooley tends to come across as very arrogant, yet he has nothing backing him up to be like that. He sure doesn't have a winning record to back that up, or developing NFL talent at a high rate either.

That's what I don't like about him specifically, especially in regards to this team and his players. Some current players don't respect him, former players don't respect him, media members don't respect him, and a lot of fans don't respect him. His smugness doesn't come across well.

Wes Rucker tweets:

Vols WR Justin Hunter said there's no beef between him and Dooley over yesterday's comments. Hunter: "He's my coach"

Dooley: Vols WR Justin Hunter had “great swagger” coming into the season and needs to get it back.

Vols Jr WR Justin Hunter: “I’m tired of losing. None of us came here to lose.”

Dooley insisted this isn’t the first time he’s called out Tyler Bray. Said he privately tore into him after Georgia loss, and he responded well.

What is a facebook even for? I notice some people think you cant say something to a player. But why do people have them if they are not for communicating with a wide range of folks. It seems like you would just use a phone if you were only talking to the folks in your circle. I guess UT football players have certain regulations or whatnot. Interesting situation.

Well, personally, I had a Facebook when I lived away from home (military) to stay connected with my family and friends and share pictures of my growing kids and what-not that I couldn't do over the phone.

IMO, it's not so grown men can harass 18-21 year old college kids about them not playing in a college game to that old creep's expectations. Especially when he's probably never played the game...

Fair enough. But, is Hunter a really a "kid"? And would it be different if it was a college student doing the facebooking (is that a word)? What if that college student also plays football? Or basketball? What if it was a ticket buyer or donor? Could they ask him about stuff on FB?

I just don't give up, whether I am right or wrong. :)

Most of the time you're wrong but even if you know you're wrong you love to argue like a child so you'll keep it up.

Coach Jeff Fisher is thought of by most to be a very good, smart coach.

Albert Haynesworth had been talked to by his D line coach, the D coordinator and by Fisher until all of them were blue in the face and they got tired of his lazy butt so when asked by the press about Haynesworth Fisher finally blasted him and it was all over the press.

Big Al finally got the message and played his butt off for the next 2 years and was then thought of as 1 of the best DT's in the NFL.

After that he ripped off the Redskins owner by getting a monster contract and then he went back to his lazy ways and didn't want to play in the 3-4 D at all.

He killed his NFL career but he didn't care because he was already rich except that he went on to get into lawsuits and a divorce which finished the big guy off.

The ONLY thing any coaches can do it talk and teach to try and help the players get better and to put out max effort on every play.

The ONLY people that can actually do it in the games are the players so it's not always a coaching problem even though most fans aren't realistic at all about these things since they always blame the coaches for every single thing.

Eric just hates CDD like many on here do.

Even if CDD was here next season and won the SEC and then won a National Championship many on here would still whine, cry and find things to bash CDD and our coaches for simply because they're now too invested in their hate for CDD and this coaching staff.

You can't argue intelligently with haters, kids and people that think they already know everything simply because in their minds they do know everything and they ignore facts and logic.

It is what it is unfortunately.

VFL...GBO!!!

Let me spell it out for you then....

1. I don't think coaches should ever call out players in front of the media, even if it's constructive criticism.

2. Dooley has done it since Day 1, and has no results backing him up to justify calling out anyone except himself.

3. Spurrier is Spurrier, and he's got multiple SEC Championship rings to say he knows what he's doing. If Dooley actually had some clout to go with calling out Hunter and his performance, then it would be received much differently.

As far as the whole "agenda" crap you and others spew, turn it sideways and stick it straight up your candy arses. I want UT to win, and I want Dooley to win, but he's not, and he's not done so in 3 years. Time to cut bait, and actually find someone who can win with the talent they are given.

This is garbage. Hunter has played like crap. It is not the coaches fault. It is his own weak a$$ fault. If I was the coach with my whole career in the hands (especially Hunters..pun intended) of these faithless pansies I would tell it like it is. I have seen more tougness from my neices powderpuff team.

I'm soooo pissed I some how missed this thread. Classic. eric is such a dooley hater and is just trying to fight to keep the negativity on him, so that he gets fired without fail. Hates that so many are able to spread the blame whatever their feelings are on Dooley.

I loved the "you won't tell your wife that she's fat" part. Some of us would. I told my ex that she had gotten a little to comfortable and needs to shape up. Even my mom called her out on it when she saw her after a month or so. She got stubborn and didn't and now she's my ex for a reason. Don't get me wrong...I don't mind a girl thats thick. I'm attracted to sex appeal. But I want them to stay at around where I met them. Simple. Now if we get married and she starts popping out kids then things will be different, but not until then. SImple.

Moral of the story....keeping things in that bother you doesn't help personal development or some crap like that. :good!:
