Bama is already the most penalized team in the SEC, 111 out if 130 teams in the country in penalties per game.

We have just passed the tolerable point.

I would be willing to add review for some things if we end review for others.

There should not be a 10 minute review on whether or not a receiver caught a 2 yard pass on 1st and 10.

Well never takes in a long period of time. It was fun back in the day watching Paterno and The Bear play a home and away series against each other. Other than Notre Dame then and now, NOBODY had home cooking like these two coaches at home. The best one I saw was Paterno's officials waving off a game winning TD from one of Bama's receivers who literally was laying from the belt line down in the end zone after coming down and making a catch with both feet in bounds. Paterno's boys ruled the receiver out of bounds and it stood as a loss for the Tide. One of the worst calls in the history of college football on national tv. 1983 it was.

I guess the narrative from the Refs SEC Conference call this week was that in no way would Alabama, Florida or LSU lose. We want 2-3 SEC teams in CFP and SCAR has already wreaked havoc in that department.

Hubert Owens is the most crooked refs in the SEC.I have said this for years.Had to !and up a bogus reason for stopping the "wildcat"play.SEC office cannot let Ala. or Fla. lose because of undetectable monies.When all else fails,think of where SEC.headquarters is located (Hoover,Alabama)!

We both agree it wasn’t a penalty but you can’t post your opinion on VN unless you’re LT.

Ref was wrong but it looked bad live. Replay showed it was nothing.

FSU sucks.. They probably fire Taggert and get a real coach after this year. They're losing too much money. Their bandwagon is breaking up.

Yes, they suck now, but we’ve played them at their peak, no different than you guys and Bama now.

Once again I ask, when was the last time losing to Bama cost you guys a shot at winning the East?

I didn’t defend anything the refs called because they sucked. You give them the excuse and they gonna make the call. It’s all about the $$ and you know it.

I don’t recall any questionable calls in our 1999 game where a replay overturn changes the outcome. You guys deserved to lose that game when Fulmer had a Mack truck like Jamal Lewis run wide on a sweep against our speedy defense on 4th and 3.

Our 2000 game would have played out differently for sure, but the Gaffney “catch” happened on 2nd down. Spurrier would have had two more shots at the win.

UT probably wins more convincingly in 2001, as Grossman had a couple fumbles that were ruled incomplete passes. UT won regardless.

UF got screwed in 2004 twice...officials screwed up the clock, then flagged our guy for returning a punch thrown by your guy instead flagging both guys for UC. No worries though, that loss helped get rid of Zook.

That questionable roughing call against UT on Chris Leak in 2006 isn’t reviewable today, but I acknowledge the call was of the ticky-tack variety.

And speaking of 1998, I seem to recall an obvious PI on UT late in the season opener against Syracuse that wasn’t called, allowing UT to get the ball back resulting in a GW FG by Jeff Hall. The rest of that season played out well for you guys.

Sometimes you get the breaks, sometimes you don’t.

I waited til I had a chance to type this out and you'll have to forgive me because I am paraphrasing.

But, Florida was annually the most penalized team in the SEC for as long as I could remember. Pretty sure it was every year under Spurrier.

Anyway, one year Florida was playing a Vandy or Kentucky and you have to imagine the following in Spurrier voice as he said something like this.

"Yeah, I felt bad for Vandy, they had their backup tackle out there and a back up defensive end. We had our All-SEC tackle and he got a couple holding calls blocking their second string guy. But, their back up tackle was able to block our All SEC defensive end all game too, and he didn't get a holding call once. So, Vandy played pretty good I guess. Maybe those guys are All-SEC players, too. Who knows?"
