Literally heard the same crap verbatim in the botch years. No currently elite program took 5 years with the right coach to get there, period. They did it in 2-4 TOPS
No. Look at years two and three of Saban, Meyer, Smart, etal at their respective jobs. I’m not saying Pruitt is anywhere near the coach those guys are - he’s obviously shown he’s not. But good coaches turn cultures, effort, wins vs losses around quickly. We are trending in the wrong direction. Pruitt has no business heading an SEC program. The whole team played with better effort.
Pruitt’s recruits are the best players on the field.
This has always been a 5 year rebuild.
A negaVol like me shouldn’t have to talk you off the ledge. Give Pruitt more time.
Dabo when 19-15 in his first 34 games (2 full seasons / 1 interim season) before getting to 10 wins in year 4 and Clemson is arguably the top elite program outside of Bama.
Not saying Pruitt is the next Dabo but you can't say it takes 2-4 years TOPs and then go psycho on Pruitt when he is 15-15 in his first 30 games (2.5 seasons) as head coach.
Barely lost to Auburn on the road in 2010 when they won their NC. Pruitt has yet to keep a big game remotely close.
Which was his actual 2nd season as HC; his first actual season he won his divison. His actual 3rd year as HC they won the ACC.
Rebuilding means throwing out what doesn't work i.e. JG. Going into year three and possibly year four with a Lyle recruit leading your recruits isn't rebuilding its insanity. Time to cut sling load because he won't have a salvageable QB going into year 5 because they will all have transferred. Develope them now with real game time experience so that year 5 is your SEC run. This isn't rocket science. The whole team played with better effort.
