They better lock Josh Huepel up!

Typical….. wanting to lock him up when he’s proved nothing of substance.

Typical...wallowing in negatives.

He has proven that with a decimated roster, a few montsh with the program, half a season of games and qb that didn't pan out like he hoped ...he can still lead UT to beat the teams they should beat.

I dont think theyre ready for the big guys yet but he has them ready in less than a year to compete for the middle.

If he gets a full roster with the talent UT typically lands, it stands to reason that competing for the east is a real possibility in a couple of years.

But we all know the drill. He wasnt your guy to replace CJP or CJP was your guy...so gotta dog him every chance possible.

From what I’ve seen so far the guy can coach and develop players. And we don’t even have a full roster. The administration needs to make sure he doesn’t leave.

I like what JH is showing.
But, I guess coming from the corporate world I like the idea of much of their pay being a % of base pay in performance bonuses for achievements. It sure got me out of bed every day and clearly focused on what had to be done and getting results.
Im not familiar with his bonuses now, but I think all of college football is paying way too much just in base pay alone.
Example, if JH has a base of $3 million, then pay him a bonus for winning SEC east, a bonus for the conference championship, and bowl appearance, and national championship. Set the carrot out that he could increase that years income $2/$3 million.

I’m not saying we’ve got to extended him and give him a raise and all that. But man it’s a breath of fresh air to watch an exciting team. The next 4 games are going to be rough. But I can’t wait to see what happens when Huep builds this team with his guys.

What scares me is how does the sec adjust to our offense in year two. Im excited as anyone but do we keep rolling or do the other schools adjust to it. Hope we can keep teams guessing going foward..

The offense will only get better as the talent on the offensive side of the ball gets better. I'm not worried about the system. Plenty of tempo offenses in the Power 5 that are successful. Just look at Ole Miss. That's Year 2 of Kiffin's system in the SEC and he seems to be doing just fine.
