They better lock Josh Huepel up!

Maybe he has no interest in going to OK? Why can't it be that we hire some guy who sparks some success and decides maybe he wants to build his own thing here? We're not really a step on the ladder to better things although that's what Kiffin used us for. This is a great university with a rich football tradition. He's working with an AD he knows and trusts. If he can right this ship streets will be named after him. Why would he go anywhere else? The university will throw money at him if he is successful. Hell they usually do that before success lol.

I’d also put Knoxville up against Norman all day long. His wife will love it here if he wins enough to stay around.

Its not that its embarrassing that there are some folks who begin to worry the moment we win two games in a row over less than stellar programs........what is embarrassing is that whomever began this thread didn't take 2 minutes to stop himself from posting this stupid thread starter. Geez, lets let the season play out before we panic on a coach leaving. Lord help us.

Majors and fulner did a pretty jib in a much better conference.
One actually much better than the other.

Since you brought them, research their coaching trees. Significant difference. As to Riley, not too many college head coaches conduct seminars for NFL OCs. Almost all qualified analysts say so.

From what I’ve seen so far the guy can coach and develop players. And we don’t even have a full roster. The administration needs to make sure he doesn’t leave.
Those 10 mil buy outs always work in our favor.

Tough game coming up with Ole Miss coming to town ….. they gotta get some key players in the HILL healthy again especially on the line of scrimmage . Recruiting and transfer players IMO opinion will really be a key factor in the years to come while Heupel and that staff is up there ….. but the momentum right now is ohhhhh so damn sweet to see ….long over due to !

Pruitt had never been HC. CJH has proven to be a winner.
4 seasons as a HC does not a proven winner make. Hopefully he accomplishes it here. Needs to hold on to as much of this staff as he can also. (Especially the Defensive)

Y’all crack me up worrying about the money. It's almost like you want him to fail so you can say you were right.

Giving him a little reward for the improvement he's already shown will only help in recruiting. We still have an investigation looming and need all the help we can get, nobody said empty a Brinks truck.

What happened to "Just Win"???

"Pump the Breaks". Lol.

It really doesn’t matter how good or how not good any coach has done. It’s extreme to extend someone on a 6-year contract after six games. Saying someone will be here 8 years instead of 6 doesn’t make any difference to recruits. And, on the off chance he is just a flash in the pan, you just cost the university a ton of money.

Enough with the extensions every single time someone does something remotely good. We are just fine right now.

Are you saying Fulmer was a better coach?
At this point, yes. Fulmer was a hell of a coach in the 90’s. He also coached in the SEC, a much tougher conference. In addition, he has a NC sitting in the trophy cabinet.

Fulmer has tarnished his name with the drop off after 2001 and his AD time, but the man does not have a lifetime 0.745 winning percentage by being an ‘okay’ coach.
