I drugged her! Nurse was telling her how lucky she was cause she'd seen me laying in the bed holding her, then all in on learning the procedure they are doing to try to help with infection. Tiffany replied she couldn't imagine life with anybody else, and I replied "well, you did hit the jackpot, so I can imagine that's true". They got a good laugh, but I'm truly blessed.

This suddenly reminded me of something. Did anyone else use "scrub" as a term of insult as a kid? When I was in grade school, that was a fighting word. If someone called you a scrub, by law you had to hit them

No. Where I grew up we typically used a harsher variety of vulgarity..... some of the guys I grew up with were true wordsmiths
