Awesome that Shida is back. Surprised that she faced Willow right off the bat. I thought they would have her go against Thekla. Still a lot of time to go. It might be a good idea after all to go after Willow since they teased a heel turn from a video i saw.

Shida was certainly looking heelish there for a second. It was an overall very good show. I feel like AEW is on a bit of a "heater" lately. Ciampa fits right in and his match with Juice was fun. I don't know that I've ever seen Andrade on a better run. There's talent all over the place.

This is arguably the f-ing stupidest twist/angle I’ve seen WWE attempt in quite some time. The mystery caller who’s pushing Orton to be better and stronger is Pat? 10/10 they were gonna bring Vince back only to have today’s news drop and they had to pivot quickly. No way Pat was the original choice. Absolutely 0 chance.

100% agree! Brock needs to be shown the door too, but that’s a discussion for another day. Shane would have been fantastic! Hell, I would have accepted another repeat of the Rock inserting himself. Pat is so damn stupid and I can only hope it’s a fake move to throw us off from a bigger reveal.

I like Pat too, but I don’t like Pat enough to say that his reveal makes sense or packs a big enough punch to get me interested in this story. They had a great thing going, and then ruined it with a lazy reveal.

Paraphrasing what Cody just said on Smackdown. The reveal of McAfee as the person Orton's been talking to is like if Nash and Hall had introduced the third person in the NWO to be Disco Inferno. I laughed. They know it was a weak reveal, too.

It's not about liking or disliking Pat. It was a weak reveal. It should have been someone else. Shane McMahon, Ted DiBiase Jr., Dave Bautista.... any would have been a better reveal. Someone from Randy's past reminding him who the Viper is. Just not Pat McAfee.

So I moved my plan around and have ESPN All Access now. I was going to have to do it in the fall anyway. I went ahead and pulled the trigger so I could watch Mania. This whole Pat McAfee things is head scratcher, not that I have any context at all as to the current stories going on in WWE. This will be the first I've paid attention since The Rumble in 2024. But Pat (who I like for the record), seems an odd choice to add sizzle to what I assume will at least be a Co-Main Event match.

With no Collision this weekend, I think I'll watch stand and Deliver. So I watched this week's NXT tonight.

Seeing Santana in the first match smoothed the transition back to WWE programing for me. I don't know when his TNA contract is up but somebody is gonna pay that dude when it is.

Seeing Gargano on the card for Stand and Deliver didn't bother me any.

I still don't care for Booker T on commentary though.

The 4 way for the NXT title looks like tons of fun.

Glad they’re back but not a fan of backstage returns. Would have rather their music hit and they just come out and ……hurt people.

They should run back the MJF storyline and have Lashley go after him. Afterwards they could go tag or trios with who ever they add.

The more I think about it, I really think the Pat reveal is a teaser to catch us off guard. I just can’t imagine that’s the big reveal because Pat isn’t a huge crowd get and they need to sell tickets in a huge way. No one is paying those prices to watch Pat walk down with Orton.
