The WRASSLIN’ Thread

I saw this on Facebook after their match last night on Saturday Nights Main Event. I heard it was a banger compared to their lackluster match at Mania 10 years ago. I'm buying the Royal Rumble just for the AJ/Gunther match to see if this is truly AJs last match. I would hate it if it is and hope he at least makes it to Mania to have him and Gunther be a trilogy.

My cousin and I were having a conversation about A.J. Styles.. he believes A.J. loses to Gunther and goes to TNA and has his last official match before retirement... Makes sense because that's the brand that A.J. help build...

That's also what I was thinking as well. The more things move on,the more I think Gunther is winning at the Rumble. I hope not,but if so,I would love to see him retire where he got his big start and have some matches with the younger talent and have another match with Kaz. I would actually watch TNA then.

Yeah,Triple H has already announced that theres some big names in store for the Men's Rumble. I've not heard much about the women's rumble... Probably cause it's in Saudi Arabia. Who knows? It's actually a packed card going by WWE standards. I'm looking forward to watching Saturday.

Dynamite was really good. Cool to see Ciampa in AEW. WWE wasnt doing much with him and Gargano as tag team so it was the best choice. Him and Briscoe should be interesting.

MJF facing Brody King to get a chance at the belt. I like that they're pushing bigger guys now. It was a weakness at one point for AEW.

Thekla and Stat was a fun womens match. I like that Stat is getting an opportunity with the belt. I'd like to see who is next is line.

Davis and Jake Something(cant remember his name in AEW) look like a tag team from the 80s that consists of two brawlers that want to hurt ya. I like a company that actually cares about their tag team division.

From what I watched of Swerve/ Andrade, they seemed to have a lot of chemistry with a lot of back and forth going on. I didn't get ti see the ending because my DVR cut off,but Andrade winning is a good move.

Overall, really good for a Dynamite. I might make it a habit to watch.

I switched from DVRing Dynamite to watching on HBO Max about a month ago. Wish I'd done it sooner. No delay in the replay going up. You can just start it whenever and you always get the whole show.

I cut Sling all together and plan to start ESPN All Access for football next season.

Andrade and Swerve was awesome. More of that plz.

Tommaso Ciampa in the house!!!

That was a rare organic surprise for me. Flipping around to avoid the basketball game for a minute, stopped when I saw Briscoe (long time mark for them going back to like 05 or so). I'm sure I'd seen something about Ciampa showing up sooner or later but hadn't heard much beyond that.

Was genuinely surprised when he came out. All too rare in wrestling, and so fun when it happens.

I was totally blindsided by that one as well. Wasn't expecting it at all. Figured he would end up staying in WWE when I saw Gargano was likely to.

Anyone else watching the Royal Rumble today? It comes on at 2 on the east coast. I'm mainly looking forward to Gunther/AJ and the Men's Rumble the most. Should be interesting.
