The VN workout thread!

I hear creatine is being mostly just water weight. And it also can bloat you.

That used to be the case but if you get the right kind, you won't get the bloated look.

I've tried using lots of protein after workouts and never noticed a difference.

I am much stronger when using creatine though.

jot down what you eat all day (hopefully all healthy...:)) Once you calculate all your calorie intake...take the total and start subtracting calories by 250-500...if you haven't dropped any lbs in a week or two...take another 250-500 calories out of your diet...also doing cardio right when you wake up (on a empty stomach) will help lose weight as well...

i've never been into losing weight, since more guys want to gain and bulk up all the time...but try my routine...unless someone else on here has a different approach...

For tightening up...lift some weights...do about 3 sets of 15-20 reps. That makes you use lighter weight but more volume to help burn fat.

I don't eat healthy. I don't eat veggies but I can handle fruit. I also eat my dairy products.

I use the Ripped videos, by Jari Love, most of the time. 5-10lb weights, reps are anywhere from 40 to 70. They are AWESOME!! Places like Ross' and TJ Maxx had some of them for a while. Amazon of course sells them. I actually downloaded my first one, Slim and Lean, from Ez Takes (I think that's the name of it.) The work outs last about an hour, work you top to bottom, and when you first start you won't be able to move the next day. LOL I do cardio on alternate days.

My cousin has a DVD that she got, I can't remember the name of it, but she and I did it 1 day and I couldn't move the next day! I may need to borrow that! :)

u can do all the dvd's u want, but if u don't eat right, it's worthless. go ahead knock urself out and continue to eat the way u do. u won't get very far

That's not entirely true. Either one is going to give you results, but the BEST results come from healthy eating and being active.

85, I started South Beach Diet and working out at the same time, and I saw changes pretty quickly. I'll send you some pics if I can remember. And I'm OLD!!! So if it worked for me, it'll work a lot faster for you. LOL

i said if you don't eat healthy you won't get far. oh u might lose a little weight, but ur def not going to get the results that you want w/out somewhat of a good diet.

Lol...girl don't say that stuff!! :)

I, last year, cut off the fast food and regularly cokes and started working out and ended up losing 15 lbs in a month. So I just need to get back into that habit!

He's right. You get what you put in your body. Crap food=Crap body...Good Healthy food=Good body.

Sounds like a plan! Instead of fast food...go to the closest deli/subway. And carbonated drinks are the absolute worse for you. Someone i work with was telling me yesterday that when he use to work for a car wash company and couldn't get certain stains/gunk off of the body of a car...he'd use COKE! He said coke eats it right off...just think what it does to your BODY!!! :eek:hmy:

I bring my lunch with me. But I do drink Diet Dr. Pepper to keep my from having a headache. I have gotten addicted to caffeine and have to have it. I mean I drink my water everyday!

That is just sick about the coke!

Is it bad for you to drink Diet drinks. I rarely drink them, as water is usually what I stick to. I have lost 47 lbs since June 4th. Mainly because I cut out sweets, and just decided to start eating better, and working out everyday. I have picked up drinking Diet Pepsi though, but I have maybe 2 or 3 a week. Are Diet drinks bad for you?

I would also suggest people check out www.bodybuilding.com as you can create workouts that suite your needs, and what you would like to do. I went on there and created a custom workout, and it lets you print out your logs and stuff. Makes it much easier to keep a track of your progress.

Never used cellmass but I have used NO xplode by BSN and I thought it worked great. If you go to prosource.net you can read reviews of the product.
