The VN workout thread!

yup, i have that problem now. I workout with a buddy for a couple days a week and then the rest we're on our own. Finding someone that has the same goals as you and is as determined as you, will go the furthest.

Well this girl and I worked out 2 days a week together and like you...the other days we were on our own but then she started to cancel or was late all the time so we ended up stopping.

I don't go to a gym. I workout at home. And for the most part, I know what I need to do and what worked. Alternate cardio and strength training (high reps low weight). I've just gotten bored with the whole routine over the last several months. I work out right after hubby leaves for work in the mornings, but lately I've allowed myself to skip it here and there til I don't have the intensity I used to.

When working out by myself, the iPod seems to always help me. Put some good motivating music in there...

Sometimes its even great if it is not a friend, someone you meet at the gym, in a class, etc. Those are the people that are motivated.

I worked out from home last night with my arms, and they are sore as heck thanks to the Duke game.

That's what helps me run, I hate running, but when you have that harder music, not the celine dion titanic song that you listen to, it really helps push you! :p

Yeah. True. Alot of times i don't mind working out by myself, sometimes i benefit more from it...

So, name your music.

Some of my favs are Don't Stop the Music, In the Ayer, Dirrty, Fergalicious, Crazy in Love....mostly cause they have a fast enough beat it makes me want to keep moving.

i've been looking at an ipod, i know i know i'm late on this, but i never needed an ipod. but during cardio we have tv's but i get so bored, i'd love to have some music other than the crappy xm station that they play. they have xm 20 or 21 the one that plays the top 20 that the people vote on. half the songs i hate, when i workout i don't wanna hear pink or taylor swift etc. what kind of ipod do ya'll suggest?
