Not really for some reason I remembered the pic you posted when I saw that you were 6'8" and I was like dang, dude has some tall friends...

Question:

Has anyone tried taking Apple Cider Vinegar to help boost your metabolism? If so, does it work?

wonder how many people from VN have joined a gym, or started going back to the gym now that the new year has come around? anyone???

i started a new meal plan, hoping to gain 15-20 lbs over the next 3 months or so

thats funny I am trying to lose 20 lbs over the next 3 months. Started to work out at my office gym and eat healthy

I figured out if you start a plan and make it a life change, you won't have to make a resolution every year. I started working out and following South Beach Diet in Janary '07 and lost 30lb and have kept it off. Feels AWESOME to not have to say "I'm gonna start my diet Monday."

Brother in law took some pics at Christmas and brought us a disc, it also had pics from Christmas 2006. OMG!!! :eek:hmy:

oh i understand completely. after i was done playing ball, i still ate like i did when i played ball, but obviously wasn't running around for 2-3 hours a day. i loved it at first i gained 35 lbs in 4 mths and was working out every day but no cardio. well i didnt eat right. i got big, but also had a big belly. so i've made my diet a lot more strict over the last year and have seen some progress. i did some research and now i'm trying to bulk back up, but do it with a clean meal plan. also doing HIIT cardio 3 times a wk. we'll see how it goes

Yep, it should be all for yourself and not because of some new year. I heard something like 80% of people who start after the new year stop within three months.

yep, its ridiculous. on sundays i get up and go to the gym first thing and get cardio out of the way before i go to church. this past sun. i was at the gym at 8 in the morning and when i walked in there were only 2 cardio machines open. let me say usually when i walk in there are maybe 2 or 3 other people in the whole gym.

Tks Dr. Phil.

I don't watch him.

Wow that's a lot for a Sunday morning. I use the gym at my apartment complex, it is tiny it sucks, but it is better than nothing and it is free. I plan on buying a membership to a gym once I move later this month because I can't go without it. Actually kind of glad that the new place doesn't have a gym because I find myself using things much more frequently when I know I'm paying for it.

i know, i was shocked when i walked in. honestly there were probably 30 ppl or so at the gym, most doing cardio.

I ran into a man that lived down the street from my parents when I was little. He must be in his 80's now. He said "I got to the Rush, and craziness!!! All these people who think NOW they are gonna work out and a guy like me can't get my regular routine in because these people think they are gonna change in one month!" He talks with the coolest accent ever!!!

i just noticed this thread...i workout around 4-5x a week...healthy diet through the work week, but i seem to slack off some on the weekend...

ya the wkends were what was killin me. now i allow myself one cheat meal a wk, usually on the wkends. i lift weights 5 days a wk and do cardio 4 days(my 2 off days, and 2 more)

give it til about end of Feb. or in March...people will get way too lazy. They'll workout and see that its not working for them as fast as they want it to and quit.
