The VN Recipe Thread

Hope ya like it. I don't always peel the potatoes. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.

I did, thought you had to. I wasn't very good at it  but I try. I also used two cans of green beans because they're really tiny. Was that ok?

I didn't have anything specific in mind, just wondered if a grill was an option. Yes, charcoal is little more of a pain, but better. imo

I bought a gas grill a few years back. It's rusting away on the back patio. I use it to stack my charcoal and hickory on, to keep them out of our dogs' reach. :)

I beg to differ with Hank Hill on the whole propane grilling thing.

Add me to the charcoal preferred group. Got a Weber kettle last year after having gas for years. So much better.

Actually, sitting here eating a Bison filet that just came off the grill. Yum.

I put it on about 4:38 and Sly said let it simmer 45min to an hour, so I guess I'll turn the stove off about 5:30, or should I just turn the stove down?

I'd bring it to a boil then turn it down to a simmer. Don't want to boil off all your juices!

How about an update USA? You should be wrapping it up.

As good as the Charcoal grills are above the gas grills. Charcoal smokers are the best things going. I have a collection of wood, apple, hickory, cherry and mesquite. Just soak'em in water and stick them in the fire under the water tray and........WOW.

on my late nights i'd give nothing more than for someone to have my kitchen cleaned and dinner sitting on the stove when i get home. hey wouldn't even have to wait for me
