You invading yet another country and talking human rights? I'm just trying to keep up here.

Democracy - where the US tells you what to do.
How many troops are stationed in Venezuela as part of this invasion?

You may want to check out Venezuela’s record of political prisoners, torture, and killing not to mention property confiscation. 20-30 percent of the population didn’t flee the country because of its warm collectivism.

They left, the new good guys better do what they are told or else ie more freedom and sovereignty. See ny jail.

So not really an invasion or regime change. More like an extradition and an attitude adjustment.

Also, do you seriously think they had freedom and sovereignty? The opposition was elected and Maduro said “no I don’t think so” and then disappeared the protesters. Any change in that country would be an improvement.

No....they're going to get more freedom and sovereignty if the don't do what they are told. It's the new freedom.

Didn't the trump admin say the same to the opposition that was elected?

No, US did not run the opposition out of the country nor did they kill the supporters of the opposition. US removed one obstacle to democracy but many remain.
The US told them to stfu. If they don't like it...they'll come back for the next one.

Trump and Rubio are very upfront here..I doubt there is a confusing message.

See that's where we are probably going to do it wrong. The Biden doctrine would have us leave in the middle of the night in an unstable environment. THAT's the way to do it. Not like Trump is planning. Leave the average citizen there to fend for themselves. Give them just enough hope, then **** on their parade.

Why don't you folks that are/were against this go and read the United Nations 2024 report of 161 pages where they accuse Maduro of "Crimes Against Humanity" and come back and tell me why this jerk wad needs to ever see the light of day again. If we didn't take him out of play who was? He definitely needed to go.

Ok so they did allow the elected leader to take power?

Oh its not that bro...not only that but the US was arming the terrorist group and coordinating war plans. They're the good guys now.

Heck some them made it to the oval office.

US military was dying from the same groups that they were supply. They're friends now...they're sorry about the buildings.
Presumably a move to counter ISIS and Iranian influence in Syria. Politics sucks because it makes strange bedfellows, at home and elsewhere. It’s suspect for a lot of reasons and I would rather us not be part of it. Maybe let all those parties fight it out, but you had to know the US would try to gain some level of leverage in Syria.
