Which companies have legal rights there now? Which contracts have been canceled?

I think the big ones are, Chevron, China National Petroleum and Sinopec from what I can gather. I would assume all of them are effectively obsolete at the moment as the U.S. is taking all the oil. The Chinese companies are owed $10b I guess. Trump is saying there is no international law that he has to follow -- at this point the U.S. is the biggest pirate in the world. If law does not apply, how could there be an enforceable agreement? My guess is another stupid stunt, like the Exxon backfire where he gets some oil executive to talk about all the money they're going to pour into there.

If all your trading partners keep losing all their money, and Trump is making sure foreign investors lose money by theft than what incentive does anyone have? They don't, Exxon was right.

Isn't that what all this ICE activity's all about, getting the criminal illegals off the streets and out of the country?
You're saying that they are increasing ICE activity because they think they have gotten all the TdA deported already?

What have they said to make you believe that they've deported all of TdA?

I was going to ask the same question. Thanks.

1) by making sure China, Russia and Cuba weren't getting oil for pennies on the dollar?
Name all the times the US has removed a dictator and it turned into a success story. Now name all the times that didn't work out so well. Tell me your results.

I am ignoring the fact that the US just did this to steal all of the Venezuelan oil.

That wouldn't make much sense, but it is Noem so...

That was their main big yugely important target of the highest priority. As long as they've been going at it they've had plenty of time to get all of them.

Well we know it failed plenty under Obama so you're right. This may backfire but you should understand the threat Maduro posed to the Western Hemisphere before opining.

Do you think the US needs Venezuelan oil? Do you own a car? Gas prices have been going down for months.

Now I think he overplays his hand if he goes solo trying to do anything in Iran. Let the people sink Iran.

Only Maduro himself posed a threat? His entire admin is still running around free

You realize they are still owed billions, right? You realize they were awarded money where a small fraction was paid, right? Do you think being owed that money might encourage them to get back in?

Or do you think the oil will just sit there and no one will want it?
why would they throw good money after bad?

putting more money into an investment that didn't pay out the last time is just dumb. that is why they want more assurances.

in my business if a client stiffed us on the last job, we aren't going to work another job in hopes that they pay us that full amount, plus the rest of what they owe. that is just dumb.

Its actually worse, it failed the time before last... what Trump is trying to do is knock the last ones out and replace them with more good money. Where he apparently believes he is a dictator, I wonder what could go wrong? Who would have thought a place where a thief steals everyone's money isn't a great place to invest?

"Why would we put money into something that continues to be a money pit, and we have no recourse if you decide to take our investment too?" - Exxon
