The UT admin needs to understand

He either works for the UTAD or he is exactly the fan they're looking for. It's a damn joke of a situation we find ourselves in right now, although i can't say i'm surprised considering the moves those slackers have made over the years. Lame duck Hart hanging around for eternity and a coach that wants out so bad he got turned down by Purdue..It's sad really.

One of these days you will bring some substance but not today.

It also doesn't help that we have a whole section of our fan base that doesn't believe we deserve better, can't do better or will ever do better.

Butch Jones actively pursued the Purdue job. That in itself should be a fireable offense.

It's time for Tennessee to upgrade in a big way. The entire SEC is down except for one team. Now is the time.

Not true what you are saying about Butch but if it fits your agenda have at it.

that UT fans are tired of losing to Alabama every year

I know some of you youngsters think that Florida is our biggest rival, but it will always be Alabama to a majority of us

Im sick and tired of hearing Bama fans rattle off and having to smell cigarettes and cheap liquor on their breath

I'm sick and tired of hearing Roll Tide and seeing every other redbeck in Tn wearing an Alabama shirt and a frickin gray penis on their head

I'm tired of hearing about how they will never lose again

I'm tired of having to explain to 70% of their fans that before Saban, we owned their ass for 11 years in a row

I'm tired of their smug ass attitudes

Most of all, I'm tired of a UT AD that doesnt recognize how important beating Alabama is to this school and going out and doing everything necessary to see it comes to an end

Go Vols

Florida and rest of SEC E would like to thank us for demanding that we keep our traditional 3rd Sat in October beat-down on the schedule. I'm good with the game, but reality is that rest of 127 college football D1 teams are living in Bama's world...

If you're over 45, Bama. Under 45 years old, Florida.

Just so we're clear, Butch Jones, who has a contract that guarantees him over $15 million dollars over the next 4 years, even if he gets fired, is trying to walk away from it for a job that pays 2 million a year. Who on here would be fine with taking a 50% pay cut and moving their family across the country if it meant a little less stress?

Every team in the SEC is tired of losing to Alabama every year. Do you really think that is going to change as long as Saban is coaching? So let's fire all 13 coaches and let each school try again.

Or maybe all the other 13 schools should leave the SEC and create their own conference NASEC (No Alabama SEC)?

Or maybe they should petition for Alabama to be kicked out of the SEC?

Very few - the stress would have to be impacting life, health etc. (aka Urban Meyer when he left Florida). At least that is the only reason I would consider leaving if in the same position.

I find it funny how folks move the target to support their agenda. Prior to this season it was just "beat Florida" and I will be happy. Since that was accomplished folks are now saying the target was really Alabama. Make up your dang mind.

Of course he did. Multiple people in the know on this board and others have mentioned it. Even Dennis Dodd mentioned it on 104.5 TheZone in Nashville the other morning.

You obviously have no clue how any of this works...

Every single agent who represents every coach out there sends out feelers after every season. Most of the time you never hear about them and most of the time the sole purpose of doing so is to get your client a raise/extension.

I'll guarantee you Butch Jones did not actively himself contact Purdue or inquire about that job.

When their mind is made up, your facts are not going to sway them.

This. This. This. This.

The whole VolNation meme of "oh well, nothing we can do. We'll just have to wait until Saban retires...." is making me sick.

Let's get an AD in here that is ready to take the fight to Saban himself. Let's get the collective cajones to bring in the kind of talent the fans, Neyland stadium, and those young men on the roster deserve.

Time to bring a gun to a gunfight:

No clue who you are talking about.

That "guy" had the benefit of winning with a team Tony Dungy put together. He was a one and done coach. Nothing significant before or after his one and done season with Tony's team. He thanks his lucky stars he has to no longer coach as he was exposed IMO. Bring him back to college football, especially on The Hill would be a massive fail, he knows it and anybody that was in Tampa Bay while he was there knows it.

You mean the overrated, average NFL coach? LOL.

You like Butch but think Gruden is overrated?

I guess this is the thought process that leads you to say that Vandy may be just as good as Wisconsin. Did you go to band camp with Lyle?
