well, the players did overcome several stupid coaching decisions tonight....mostly on 3rd and short situations and one goal line situation.....

We should have won this game going away--just like the fla game....

And, just how smart of a decision was it of our coaches to rs josh dobbs at the first of the year?

I love the win, but it's a testament to the players who refused to lose more than it is a stamp of approval to this coaching staff.....

And, i'm not going anywhere.....and stupid is as stupid does, sparky.......there was enough stupid on the field by our coaches tonight to create serious concern about our ability to finish 6-6....keeping tk jr. Off the field in favor of mcneal--and playing coleman instead of another db at the nickel are mind-boggling decisions...they are the weak sisters on the d--and man coverage in 2 critical situations during the game gave up 14 points!!!!!

You can call me whatever you want, but it ain't gonna change the stupidity of those coaching decisions...and we still haven't run a bootleg in short-yardage all year!!!!

But there is no doubt that we have enough talent to finish 6-6 and 7-5....crap...there's enough talent on this team to have finished the season at 8-4....if dobbs would have played earlier....

However, i never gave up tonight on this team, and i've repeatedly said that jones gets 6 years no matter what!!!!!!! And then we'll see.....

When you learn more about the game than just watching the score and the ball--come talk to me...until then, it won't hurt my feelings at all if you put me on ignore....

you sir are stupid...i won't waste anymore time explaining it

"True fan" police, plz stfu.

I cheer for the Vols. I cheer for the players. I don't cheer for the coaches. I expect coaches to do the job they're paid to do. Do I agree with all the criticism they get? No, but everyone's entitled to their opinion on coaching without having their "fanhood" questioned. If you don't like someone's opinion on a coach, just ignore it. If you want to debate it, do so without questioning someone's devotion to the Vols. Try arguing on merits rather than declaring who is and is not a fan. That shiz is just weak. I've watched UT through the good and the bad, and will continue to root for my Vols. Questioning a call by a coach does not make me any less a fan. When Butch starts coaching for free, then feel free to question my Vol loyalty in any criticism I direct his way. As long as he's getting paid(extremely well), then his job performance is open to criticism.

Proud of the players tonight. They fought their asses off and overcame odds I honestly didn't think they could. I'm glad to be wrong on that account.

The reason I disagree with the coach-bashing is I think it hurts the program (definitely, in no way could it help). Recruits and players families frequent these boards and dragging our coaches through the mud serves no good purpose.

Questioning a call is no big deal. Questioning the coaches' capability, desire or their every call does not serve a fruitful purpose and, in fact, could prove harmful.

The problem is not that folks question calls here and there. All of us do that. It's those that gripe and cry and yell, "this team sucks" and "these coaches suck", or "please let Michigan hire them"! Those folks are not fans regardless of what you or they say. It shouldn't be ok to post this crap and simply come back later and say, "Sorry, I was wrong" and all be forgotten. Negativity breeds negativity. Those folks can suck it!

no, he is a realist

This ;$&; is messed up. Bash him when he loses and bash him when he wins. A road win at night in the SEC and people on here are questioning the coach? Let it go for one week. I'm so tired of trying to make sense of the fans who think CBJ should be beating top ten opponents 1.5 years into the mess he inherited. For crying out loud! You people blame him for the bad calls but credit our players for the good calls. I'm exhausted.

So recruits and families put more weight on our opinions than their own, when it comes to the coaches?

Gotcha...I'm fairly new to posting so I'm assuming blue font is sarcasm? My bad. I just figured I'd log on tonight and continue my celebration with some positive fan reactions. Instead, more coaching criticism from soe delusional fans. I got a little fired up.

IGNORE it is.

Thanks dude.....enjoyed your editing........guess you told me......

couple questions there sparky.....

1. Does ANYONE on this board really think that it was a good decision to keep Dobbs on the bench this season in hopes of a RS--especially after seeing him perform in the last 2 games....he definitely IMPROVED during this game.....

2. Does ANYONE on this board really believe that we would have LOST to Fla with Dobbs in the game?

3. are you, wfd, still UNABLE to see that the OL that Dobbs is playing behind tonight is JUST AS YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED as the OL Worley played behind all season? This is the same OL--minus Coleman Thomas--that has played all year....

4. DO YOU REALLY, wfd, want to come on here and tell everyone that it's good coaching to keep McNeal and Coleman on the field in MAN COVERAGE after watching them get continually TOASTED over the last 3 yrs against SEC receivers?

It's EASY to see that you're GUILTY of the same things you CONDEMN in me...

Enjoy your own sense of self-righteousness because you really told me good....

..have a nice day...:salute:

I understand, couldn't be happier for the team and coaches right now yet some want to turn this into ammo for how right they supposedly have been all along.

This team, these youngsters, stepped up and said we're going to win this. Coaches you can come along if you want.

The coaches are the reason the players didn't quit. You should acknowledge this. Occasional bad play calls in the red zone yes, but the fight in the team wasn't there until the current staff arrived. In the end, the players executed the plays the coaches called and won the game.
