And, just how smart of a decision was it of our coaches to RS Josh Dobbs at the first of the year? We could have put him behind an inexperienced OL and watched him experience a career ending injury.

I LOVE THE WIN, BUT this post is a testament to the fact that I am just more intelligent than this coaching staff.....

And, I'm not going anywhere.....stupid is as stupid does ......there was enough stupid in the post to keep me here a long time on the field by our coaches tonight to create SERIOUS concern about our ability to finish 6-6....keeping TK Jr. off the field in favor of McNeal--and playing Coleman instead of another DB at the Nickel are mind-boggling decisions...they are the weak sisters on the D--and man coverage in 2 critical situations during the game gave up 14 points!!!!!

You can call me whatever you want, but truly, I'm just a jerk and I ain't gonna change my stupidity of those coaching decisions...and we still haven't run a bootleg in short-yardage all year!!!!

BUT THERE IS NO DOUBT that we have ENOUGH talent to finish 6-6 and 7-5....Crap...there's enough talent on this team to have finished the season at 8-4....if Dobbs would have played earlier....

However, I never gave up tonight on this team, and I've repeatedly said that Jones gets 6 years NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!! And then we'll see.....

When you learn more about the game than just watching the score and the ball--come talk to me at my trailer cause I'm the smartest guy in the world ..until then, it won't hurt my feelings at all if you put me on IGNORE....

I cheer for the Vols. I cheer for the players. I don't cheer for the coaches. I expect coaches to do the job they're paid to do. Do I agree with all the criticism they get? No, but everyone's entitled to their opinion on coaching without having their "fanhood" questioned. If you don't like someone's opinion on a coach, just ignore it. If you want to debate it, do so without questioning someone's devotion to the Vols. Try arguing on merits rather than declaring who is and is not a fan. That shiz is just weak. I've watched UT through the good and the bad, and will continue to root for my Vols. Questioning a call by a coach does not make me any less a fan. When Butch starts coaching for free, then feel free to question my Vol loyalty in any criticism I direct his way. As long as he's getting paid(extremely well), then his job performance is open to criticism.

Proud of the players tonight. They fought their asses off and overcame odds I honestly didn't think they could. I'm glad to be wrong on that account.

This team did not give up. The defense was out of order until the last series but stepped up when it mattered, We may have turned the corner tonight!

This team is a rollercoaster!

Oh my gawd guys, we just won so stop the arguing. In the end it was an amazing game to watch for us Vol fans. We're a step closer to a bowl game, and a winning record. It doesn't matter WHO's right or wrong at this point, as long as we get the W!

I could not be more proud of my vols tonight, They came back to win this game when everyone thought it was over. i had my faith and sure enough we came back!!

Sando and others are right. I saw it, Spurrier "saw it." The boys started calling their own plays on offense and defense to win this game. Coaching had absolutely nothing to do with tonight's success.

On a positive note, if the players under this coaching staff are motivated to win in spite of their bad coaches, then butch should get a contract extension. He's came up with a new coaching philosophy. lol

I was upset with the goal line stop. I do feel like a boot or naked play was warranted. I would have even thought about kicking a field goal on 4 and goal just to get points. I think the two field goals were not bad decisions. If we go for it and don't get it, then you would still be upset. Hindsight is always 20/20.....

I do not know what was up with the defense tonight. Jancek had a bad game. I do agree that the younger guys deserve a shot over Coleman and some starters. Some of your points are valid.

At the end of the day, coaches are judged on wins and losses. So, BUTCH's team WON tonight. He coached a good game and HIS football team won. BUTCH beat Spurrier tonight, plain and simple.

Yes. Agree totally. The police-types on here are the most annoying of all for sure.
