The problem is not that folks question calls here and there. All of us do that. It's those that gripe and cry and yell, "this team sucks" and "these coaches suck", or "please let Michigan hire them"! Those folks are not fans regardless of what you or they say. It shouldn't be ok to post this crap and simply come back later and say, "Sorry, I was wrong" and all be forgotten. Negativity breeds negativity. Those folks can suck it!

So your negativity is breeding negativity. You're as guilty as those you're condemning. Congratulations.

Seriously, pointing out "negativity" instead of ignoring it serves only to perpetuate it. You've solved nothing. You've only added to what you claim to despise.

And for those saying those things, if they honestly believe them to be true, they are absolutely fans. Do I agree with the "Let Michigan hire them" bs? No, but if they believe that another coach without having to pay a buyout is the best option, they're entitled to that opinion. It doesn't make them any less a Vol fan if they honestly believe what they're saying is best for the team. You don't have to agree with their opinion, but come up with a better arguement than, "You're not a true fan." Fans are going to disagree at times on what is and is not best for the team. That doesn't make one side or the other "true fans".

Umm, didn't you just point out negativity?
nevermind, forgot the double standard rule.

Gotcha...I'm fairly new to posting so I'm assuming blue font is sarcasm? My bad. I just figured I'd log on tonight and continue my celebration with some positive fan reactions. Instead, more coaching criticism from soe delusional fans. I got a little fired up.

One thing I discovered pretty quick when I started hanging out here on VolNation is that there are some fans that are just down right pathetic. Don't let those fans get to ya. It can still be a pretty cool place to hang out.

GBO!!!!

It would only be a double standard if negativity was the arguement I was hanging my hat on. I'm not the poster questioning everyone's fan status. I'm the poster arguing it's okay for people to have their own opinions, negative or otherwise.

you sir are stupid...i won't waste anymore time explaining it

Really...I'm sorry, but did I miss some sort of attempt or explanation?????

Please explain just what it is that makes my conclusions about some coaching decisions tonight stupid?

Oh--maybe I get it.....

CBJ can bring out little pieces of wood and preach that FB is a game made up of little things and a few critical calls in critical situations--and that's good because he gets paid $3 million/yr and is the coach who's won a total of 3 SEC games in 2 years....

And, I'm stupid for using the SAME CRITERIA in evaluating their coaching performance during this game....that it is the sum total of little things and decisions made in CRITICAL situations by the coaches that ALMOST COST us this game?

I know that WINNING is all that matters to MOST...and that the coaches will be evaluated by their W-L record.....but have you never in your life allowed yourself to ASK WHY THINGS ARE HAPPENING?

That's what I've done on here tonight....expressed my opinion about my observations during the game....just like about 9000 other posters on here are doing...

And we're all either NEGAVOLS or STUPID for actually having played the game, learn the assignments of positions on the field, learned from State champion coaches, played on the SAME FIELD with Dale Jones, and Christ White....and are actually able to watch a game and analyze what's happening on the field and why it is happening--and I'm the one who is stupid..

And all of that makes me a know-it-all.....

Okay, sparky.....I get it....

:salute:

Uh...last time i looked--USCe was 4-4 and lost their last 3 games....does that qualify as being a top 10 team????

:salute:

Uh...unless you're new here this criticism happens after every game no matter the opponent. The problem is when CBJ brings this team back from the ashes you will never acknowledge your bashing of him and enjoy the ride like you saw it coming all along. The criticism is very premature and unproductive. I agree with you right to do it, just don't think it's justified yet. Just answer this....

Losses to FLA and GA that were very competitive and we actually competed against BAMA outside of the 1st QTR. How do you not see improvement compared to where Dooley left us?

My negativity towards posters is a far cry from "fans" negativity against coaches and kids busting their butts for wins just for idiots to personally attack them. If you think you can spin "let Michigan hire them" or "so and so should never see the field again" as an opinion of what's best for the program, well, then you and I will have to just disagree. The game threads are becoming more and more like a roast than a discussion of the game itself.

Thanks dude.....enjoyed your editing........guess you told me......

couple questions there sparky.....

1. Does ANYONE on this board really think that it was a good decision to keep Dobbs on the bench this season in hopes of a RS--especially after seeing him perform in the last 2 games....he definitely IMPROVED during this game.....

2. Does ANYONE on this board really believe that we would have LOST to Fla with Dobbs in the game?

3. are you, wfd, still UNABLE to see that the OL that Dobbs is playing behind tonight is JUST AS YOUNG AND INEXPERIENCED as the OL Worley played behind all season? This is the same OL--minus Coleman Thomas--that has played all year....

4. DO YOU REALLY, wfd, want to come on here and tell everyone that it's good coaching to keep McNeal and Coleman on the field in MAN COVERAGE after watching them get continually TOASTED over the last 3 yrs against SEC receivers?

It's EASY to see that you're GUILTY of the same things you CONDEMN in me...

Enjoy your own sense of self-righteousness because you really told me good....

..have a nice day...:salute:

Tired of hearing this about Dobbs. Everyone, and I mean everyone around the team said Dobbs was solid at No. 3 based on practice. Ainge, swain, media, and obviously the coaches. Some kids are gamers, but don't practice well.

This was 10:17. At 10:14 we were the worst team in the history of organized sports...

Don't think I've EVER SAID THAT TONIGHT AT ALL....I never called team #118 that EVER.....and NOWHERE IN THIS ENTIRE THREAD can you quote me as saying that we have no chance of winning this game.....or that this is the worst team.....I NEVER gave up on this team tonight.....I just HATE STUPID DECISIONS MADE BY COACHES.....

in fact, go back and see where I said that we have plenty of time to win the game.....and criticized Bajakian for being impatient and having Dobbs throw a ball for the end zone that was intercepted...

I said that our safeties were pathetic and that McNeal and Coleman shouldn't be on the field with the likes of TK Jr. and the Berry boys on the sideline...

It would be funny if it wasn't so SAD that you have to make up things that I allegedly said--aka LIE ABOUT ME--just to affirm your own feelings and opinions....

please learn to read and honestly evaluate what is being said......and critique someone based on objective facts instead of your own lies about what you think was said.....

Hold up, hoss. Please don't put words into my mouth. Let's be clear, I've said coaches are open to being criticized. Nowhere have I mentioned players.

I don't mean to be disrespectful but I'm sure you understand that college football usually takes upperclassmen and a strong foundation to become a winning program -based on your credentials you stated above? We were in ruins 2 years ago. It just seems to me that he has us moving forward. Don't you think that giving him time to get a couple recruiting classes under his belt would be fair to the man? Two years ago we were very rarely competitive.

You replied to my post that included comments about folks being negative about players, and you yourself posted earlier, "Oh, we suck".
If that is not a judgement on players ability or effort what is it?

It's a reaction to giving up a key play. A game thread is made up of reacting to what's happenning in a game at any given time. Do you not understand context?
