Happy New Year my friends.

I finally got the kids in the bed about 2:30. Nat was still playing her DS at 3.

They did another brain scan about an hr ago. Everything is about the same. Still not out of the woods yet. Thanks so much for the thoughts and prayers.

So does that mean the swelling/bleeding isn't getting any worse? I can't imagine how scary that is for his family. Continuing prayers.

Yes, the bleeding has kinda clotted itself and the swelling hasn't gotten worse over night. Dr thinks it's a good sign. He isn't showing any obvious signs of brain damage but further testing will be done.

To think about how bad this could have been(I know he's not out of the woods yet) and for him to be laying there talking tells me that God had his hands upon him.

This is a text from my aunt.

Trauma team DR said he will need lots of cognitive rest for the brain..no video games..no texting and limited amount of TV..said he will be out of school several weeks..then going back on half days..said the brain cells need lots of rest to heal..if not they said if he had another bump on the head..the outcome might not be this lucky...he's been resting for a little while..
