CDB is playing a concert at Lake Winnie this weekend. Thought about going and checking it out. Ten bucks seems worth it to me.

I would. I bet he still puts on a good show. I went to see George Jones about year and a half ago. He's about ready for that rocking chair. Still enjoyed it though.

The only thing that makes me think twice about going to see him is he has stated before that he doesn't play a lot of his older songs because he doesn't support that life style now. Which is fine, but I still want to hear some of the older songs. (e.g.- Long Haired Country Boy.)

I can remember being at Cumberland pool and one of the lifeguards had the radio on. They played Devil Went Down to Georgia and he said the b word. All of us kids looked at each other like "somebody's gonna get in trouble!" haha

We are getting pounded by a storm from out of nowhere. The north end of the county is reporting 60mph winds and 1" hail.

Storm seems to have passed for the most part. It was moving east-southeast. We got hit pretty hard. They were reporting trees down in Newton Co(where I live). I called home and my wife says it was pretty bad adn the power was off adn on for a bit. I'm headed that way in just a min.

The storm is prob headed Windy's way later tonight.

My grandfather seemed pretty good last night. I think he finally has his head back on his shoulders.

The dr hasn't said, but I think this is past him. He started doing his therapy yesterday. He still can't walk because of the colitis in his foot. You can see where it is spreading up his leg a bit. He's in good spirits and doing what he can. He went to the therapy room looking for them to do his 2nd session instead of them coming to get him. He wheeled that wheelchair right on down the hall. They weren't there, so he said he would just sit there and wait.

Bless his heart! Sounds like he's ready to get going and get better. What a great attitude! Keeping him in my prayers.
