Really happy. Beat my 5k PB by over 2.5 minutes. Cracked the 30 minute mark with a 29:24. I know it is slow to you all, but I am very happy. I still think I left at least a minute and a half on the table because I had to slow to a walk twice and I still ate too soon before.

5 miler on Labor Day. 5K on the 11th. Possibly another 5K on the 7th or 8th. I have 7 races between now and the Army 10-miler on October 20th.

Ankle still sore after taking almost 3 weeks off...still need shoes. oops!

2.01 this morning. 19:03. 9:28/mile.

Good one for me. Stopping to walk much less.

I've never entered a race but I'm thinking about doing a 5k just to see what it's like running with a large group. I run by myself 95% of the time.

I highly recommend trying a race at least once. When you get there and see all those people it pumps you up. And you usually end up running faster than normal too.
