Not running far been have been out everyday since Saturday.

Saturday
2 mile runs - 2x
2 mile quick pace walk - 2x (Run out and walk back)

Sunday (Ran up to pick up Red Box movies)
1.5 mile run
1.5 mile mile quick pace walk

Monday
2.0 mile run

Need to lose 20 pounds. Lungs feelings better during the runs and pace picking up each time.

Plan a 2.5 mile run through UCF at lunch. Students got back yesterday. Makes for a nice scenic run.

I have a question. Recently a friend of mine has began to have issues with shin splints while running. He runs both treadmill and concrete and has for yrs. what could cause this just now? And what remedies can u use to relieve the pain???

It could be time for new running shoes or it could be the way they are running.

As far as getting rid of the pain I had bad shin splits and I iced my legs for 20 mins before a run and 20 mins after a run and it slowly helped the pain go away. Also make sure you are streching after the run. Hope this helps and good luck.

Note to self. Ten minutes is not enough time to let a full meal settle. First mile was fast. The next 2.11 involved more vomit than I would like.
