3.17 yesterday in the heat.
Ankles killing today. I'm not sure if it's shin splints or not. It's more on the outside of my ankles and pain runs up the side of my legs. Could barely put weight on one foot when I got up this morning. Ouch. Probably need better shoes as well.
Exactly what happened to me. Very likely time for new shoes.
RICE = Rest Ice Compression Elevate
Talked to a friend who is a Physical Therapist. She did say new shoes are a must before I start running again.....said I should probably take a week or two off and let soreness heal. And asked about 500 questions about where/when the pain is (heal strike, flat feet, balls of feet). Came up with my feet kinda point outward so that causes pain on outside of ankle. And of course just started few months ago and have been pushing myself hard.
She mentioned the vibram 5 fingers....I just don't think I can do it. I've seen people wearing those and it freaks me out. Also mentioned Fleet feet and have them assess my gait and get fitted. Seems expensive.
Sucks cause I was diggin the running and definitely losin some gut.
