The Runner's thread

Finishing my morning run earlier and I was coming in on the final stretch of 7.5 miles to my house and some guy was walking his dog (not on a leash). The dog started coming at me after I passed them. I just continued my jog then heard he's coming...get back her scooter! I turn my head and the dog is showing teeth. So I sped up and the dog kept coming. I just ran an extra half mile to escape the dog. Then yelled from a distance at the guy that there is a leash law here.

Thankfully I have only had one dog chase me while I was running and it was a small dog and didn't chase me for long. I am sure it's not fun to see a larger dog chase after you for any amount of distance. Good motivation to keep going though. :eek:lol:

only got two runs in this week. 3.42 miles on Wednesday and 3.78 today. Gonna start waking up at 5 am to get runs in first thing, then start work. wish me luck on forcing myself to get up.

Ran my first workout of my Fall training cycle. 3 sets of (2X200 + 400) all at Rep pace with full recoveries. Felt good to be back on a track.

Good point on the Madder. How many mud races did your watch make it through before it died?

I had it 2 years. A Tough Mudder, 3 Spartan Races and a Marine Corps mud run. Plus I wore it as my everyday watch doing all kinds of training.

It took a beating
