Great run. mid 40s and the snow had melted when I started. Mile into the run there was snow. 2 miles later it was 3" deep and as I neared the top of the ridge I could hear the wind howling. cresting the ridge the wind smacked my face blowing snow. it was an amazing feeling like I was summitting a great peak.

Go big or go home right? Last long run before my marathon on the 17th. 15.1 miles, bringing me to 17.1 for the month. My sinus infection set me behind, but I did a good deal of catching up tonight right?

Solid work bill

That a boy bill...little early for a taper though isn't it?

thanks tri and puals

most recommend tapering two-three weeks before your marathon. I'm a week and a half away, but I run reguarly anyways and with the charlie horse injury that set me back a week and my sinus infection, I'm not going to start til now. When would you start tapering?

Had a business trip to Illinois yesterday, got back about an hour ago. I didn't have a chance to run yesterday, but I just got 4 miles in on the treadmill.

Weekly Total: 6.9 Miles

I'm thinking I'll end up around 18 miles this week, then back up to 25 next week.

I don't like to taper more than 7 days out.

Each person is different

4.0 tonight. I've had a twinge in my left foot at the base of my big toe the past two days. I'm not sure what's going with it, if it still feels like that on Monday I'll take a few days off and see if it gets better.

Weekly Total: 13.4 Miles

Anyone have any suggestions for compression socks? Do they even improve circulation and any recommendations for what the best brands are?
