The Runner's thread

Haven't posted in here in a while. I decided to start actually focusing on training and building up to start doing RR's in the spring.

Got 2.5 in today. Weekly total is up to 7.25 miles.
 
Getting ready for the Hood to Coast then the Bourbon Chase directly after that, and then a Tough Mudder immediately after that. A lot of running in my immediate future.
I'd love to run hood to coast. I'm thinking about an ultra after about 6 more months of crossfit. I don't think that I could do both at the same time.
 
3.25 miles today. Got in just before the rain really started. Weekly total at 10.50 miles. Going to Abrams Falls on Sunday but other than that I'm done for the week.

Next week will be bumped up to 11.50 miles with intervals on Tuesday.

Yeah, I am really excited about it. Another relay that is awesome is the Bourbon Chase. It is much closer and pretty cool. I suggest looking it up.
 
Chattanooga, which has plenty of nice places to run with plenty of nice scenery but it's all hills. :eek:lol: Makes for some intresting runs sometimes. I don't know if you are fimilar with Chattanooga but we have what they call the River Walk and it really nice flat running/biking trail. I have ran in Florida along the beach. I would love to make it to Califorina sometime to visit much less run.

Very familiar with Chattanooga. Beautiful city
 
Ran on the beach a couple of times this past week with the pooch. She warmed up to the sand and surf nicely (her first trip), but dang it was hot and humid! I got one 4 miler in on the paved path along the marshes of Cape San Blas, too.
 
I was in palm coast on Friday and ran a pretty fast 10k including an out and back over a pretty high bridge. It was much cooler than it's been around here but I was still surprised.
 
Ran 2.75 today. Started doing a cool down and decided I wasn't done. Ran another 0.4 miles of intervals.

Total of 3.15 today.
 
Ran intervals today for the first time. I definitely need to work on pacing.

5 x 1/4 mile

Wanted to run at about a 7:50 pace. Instead, I ran between 6:15 and 7:30 pace. It was a good workout anyway.
 
3 miles last night at the fastest I have ever ran three miles. 21:14. I can tell the hill training is help me out when I ran on a mainly flat landscape. I will continue to do the hill training if I am going to get these kind of results out of it.

3.2 yesterday at the River Walk here in town. The weather at 530 was amazing. There was a good breeze blowing off the water which made for a nice run.
 
Got 4.1 in today. Weekly total is 11.75.

Need to slow it down on my normal runs, those intervals earlier this week made me a little overzealous.
