The Runner's thread

it is officially summertime at Ft Bragg. 5 miles this morning and it was dreadful. 6 hours after finishing and I still think I can take my PT shirt and wring water out of it. Ahhh, the humidity.

edit- the right foot is still kinda sore too. Not like it was a week ago, but still sore. Starting to worry a little bit.

Hope everything is ok. Get it checked out so you don't do anymore damage. Good luck.

Side note its pretty darn humid here in Chattanooga. Not really looking forward to my run tonight.

Gonna be a sweeper for a trail marathon this Sunday. Ride the mountains bike for 6+ hours. Race director said the pace is so slow I should just run it. Who wants to run a marathon and not get credit for it?

This guy must not run or if he does then he must be out of his mind. Every race I have done the sweepers were on bikes.

He's an trail ultra marathoner and usually places in the top 10. Also a century cyclist and pretty good mountain biker. It skews his perspective. 26 miles at a 14 min/mile pace is a leisurely stroll to him.

Too dang hot and humid last night for my run. I was pacing for a sub 21 min three miles but the heat and humidity got to me and ended up finishing just over 22 mins.

That's a good pace for anybody.

Absolutely agree; very good pace. As I mainly run for the regular exercise, I typically aim to have a pace under 8:30. Races are different and my pace is typically much faster in the cooler months, but I work to adhere to the above pace in Summer when so hot and humid.

I just hate the way it runs my shirt

Completely understandable

3.2 last night in 22:45. Ran slower last night because I ran a route that had some pretty good hills in it. I am feeling it today too. My quads and hamstrings are sore even taking Accerlade.
