dang I am entering my rest period where I am not supposed to run more than 10 miles before the race...pretty much you guys are going to get 2 weeks of minimal running from me...I will still accept the challenge

I haven't run in months. I need to get back. what's the challenge?
Here's the other thing. I've always ran with people, I suck at running by myself...anyone have some tips?

Play loud music on your iPod. Works for me when I run alone

Shown to make you go fast, for sure.

I'm out of the game for a bit, after having just been brought off the bench, too. Had hematuria come back after my last run.

Been fighting that for a while. Can't seem to catch a break. Get told to take two months off, and then everything goes smoothly for a few months, and then bam. Back again.

Stupid jogger's hematuria. Anyone got a cure?

That can't be solely related to running, can it? I would go get a doctor's opinion.

I have. I got told to stop running for 2 months. So, I did. And when I came back, I was good to go until a few weeks ago.

Do you have any pain involved with it?

Specifically back/flank pain.

I'm aware that my kidneys exist, but other than that, nothing.

And, oddly enough, it only happens once. The first time I shake it after a run, it is pure cranberry juice color.

The next time, perfectly clear.

I've found that if I run on a full bladder, which is absolutely annoying, that I have less probability of it happening.

I think the walls of the bladder are rubbing together and causing the bleed.

Oddly enough, one of the dudes I served with has the exact same problem. Nobody has found any reason why, for either of us.

Both of us determined that we need to run on a full bladder.

I cant run on a full stomach or bladder . Maybe something short like 4-6 miles but a long run 10 or more forget it.

Yea, it is terrible. I have to pound water before every run, and if I'm taking a minute to "zone in," listening to music and putting on the 5 fingers... if I slip up and use the head. I gotta start all over and pound water again.

I haven't ran more than 6 miles doing it, and doubt I could make even 10.

It is the most annoying thing I have ever experienced and was a bit frightening the first time, too.

4.6 yesterday and 4.9 today for a 9.5 over the weekend. No idea where to add them.

Is there any big difference between the 16 and 17 Gel Kayanos? Was thinking about picking up a pair of the 16s for $90.

Not really. I was going to get another pair of 16s but the store was out so I got the 17s. Go with the cheaper.

did 4 tonight saw 2 snakes, the 2nd one looked like a copperhead to me, the first one struck at my dog. So much for running at dusk.

My new goal for next months race - beat the kenyans time from the boston marathon. Of course my race is half the distance.
