The Runner's thread

Ran my 5K this morning. Finished 13th overall with 21 minutes 20 seconds. I was kinda disappointed because I wanted to run under 20 minutes, but I figured it was decent. One of these days I'm going to seriously train and I'll do better.

Nothing to be disappointed with! You are amongst the most fit Americans...your heart thanks you.

Puals...awesome. Can't even imagine what it must've felt like to cross the line.
 
Ok so here is what I learned about my first marathon

1. If you train cardio will not be the problem. Be sure to lift weights with your lower body

2. Rock and roll marathon series knows how to do it right

3. When you are passed at the beginning ignore everyone passing you and stay at your pace. You will pass them in a minute.

4. Go to the expo if there is one and go in the morning so you have plenty of time to look around.

5. Be sure you have someone with you to take pictures
