The Runner's thread

Ran three miles before work Saturday. Took the Accerlade after my run because I didn't have enough time to take it before hand. My legs felt great all day, but I can't really say the same for my stomach. My stomach felt funny for a good portion of the day. I can't say if it was because of the Accerlade or not but my stomach didn't start feeling funny until 30 mins or so after taking it.

Other than shoes and socks, is there something yall have to run in or with? As far as shirt or shorts or hat? I wear the Nike dry fit shirts and shorts. I haven't been able to run in a hat. It bothers me for some reason. Maybe I am just not used to it.

I hate running in hats also. I have a couple underarmour loose fitting shirts that i like to wear. I also run in Nike dry fits.

I have Nike, Adidas, Brooks and I think one Under Armour shirt. I'm not too picky, I just like the moisture wicking stuff. Bought an actual pair of running shorts (mesh lining and all) for the half I ran a month and a half ago and love them. Can't wear a hat either. Also, I hate running without my GPS watch because it keeps me motivated to stay at or below certain paces.

I am the same way with my iPhone. I use the runkeeper app to pace my runs and see my distances.

What about cold gear stuff?

I have the Nike cold gear and one under armour cold gear. The Under Armour I can really only wear when its about 50 degrees because other wise it doesn't keep me warm. The Nike Cold Gear stuff I have worn in like high 30's and has kept me warm.

Unless it's below say 20 degrees, I just use a long sleeve Warm Weather gear shirt. I hate running in heavy or warm clothes because I get so hot. I'll run in shorts year round.

Guess I am a pansey, because if its in the mid to low 50's I have to have something long sleeve on otherwise I won't make it through the run. I think the coldest I have ran in is like 30 or 31. Damn that was cold!!

4 mile Indian Run (aka last man up nowadays) with my platoon this morning, four mile free run this evening. My legs are kinda mad.

Kinvara 3 has been ordered. New shoes should arrive in 4 days...big day

anxious to try those on. Gonna hopefully try those and the Saucony Mirage IIs. If they don't feel better than my current Brooks PureCadences, I'm just gonna buy another pair of those.

Personal best 10k at sunset today, 50 minutes flat. First run in my new Kayanos...hard to believe they could be improved, but they are.
