Well alrighty then...if you're tired of them, I'm sure they will be stopped. For someone so tired of them, why did you start a thread about them. All Wilks threads have, for the most part, been merged into one big one. Why did'nt you just add to the end of that one.

As for the slander comment...unbelievable

I hear you that you're tired of the Rod Wilks facts, and I'm sorry for that. After all, you're clearly being forced to read the Rod Wilks threads where you know that the jokes/facts are being posted.
Speaking of being TIRED of the RW facts...
I heard that RW once ate three full Thanksgiving meals, and never got sleepy!

I would also like to add, aside from a few posters with high post counts, normally when I see post counts in the multiple thousands, I ignore a lot of them.

Just because some people have thousands of posts doesn't make them anymore vol, or anymore intelligent about the Vols. It just means you have more time to spend on a message board.

i was fixing to write a post to agree with Vagabond but rod wilks used the darth vader mind choke on me an I blacked out.

As you well know, you don't have to go to Rod Wilks threads in order to find Rod Wilks jokes. They're everywhere. And I created a new thread because it was the best way to ensure that my plea was read by as many folks as possible. If it got buried in another thread, it might be read by only a handful of readers, which wouldn't do a lot of good.

The RW jokes are most certainly not limited to just one thread or even just a handful of them. They are all over this place.

Rod Wilks jokes are like a computer virus, you can try to get rid of it but it keeps coming back. Volnation is infected and it can only be removed by the faildozer.

I don't really think that most of the "facts" are in bad taste, or slander his character in any way. I think I would personally be flattered if I was 19 years old and had this sort of cult following on a message board. That being said, sometimes the amount of jokes can be a little over the top, but every now and then, a good RW fact can still be funny.

I whole heartedly agree with the OP. Sometimes I'm reading threads and see a RW joke pop up and think that someone has been thinking all day to come up with something that doesn't have anything to do with the subject at hand.

i like them, i still find humor in the occasional RW joke, just give it time, this is only something to keep us all occupied during the offseason, wait till fall approaches, the RW joke threads wont be getting near the hits as the ones on real breaking vol football news stories

I'm tired of seeing them, too. Most of them are just a rehash of old Chuck Norris/Jack Bauer so there's no originality.

Maybe you can try to damage control them all into one thread so when someone wants useful info on Wilks it can be found outside said thread.
