Again, I didn't mean it like you took it rather I was saying that because you only have a little over a hundred posts, people won't take your request seriously. I guess next time I'll use the smilies to make my point. I actually agree with the point you're making.
Okay, fellas, it's official: I'm tired of the Rod Wilks jokes. Can we place a moratorium on them? They have been so overused that they aren't funny anymore. And they unnecessarily slander Mr. Wilks's character. I don't think we should allow our desire to be humorous come at the expense of this young man any longer.
First, I'm not "telling everyone how it's going to be." I'm making a plea for more consideration of a young man's reputation. I don't think anything in my post suggests anything more than that. Second, I may have only a little over 100 posts, but I read VolNation every day. A lack of a large number of posts does not necessarily imply a lack of understanding of the board. You may also notice that my join date is one month after your own, so I've been reading the site as long as you have. I hope this helps.
As you well know, you don't have to go to Rod Wilks threads in order to find Rod Wilks jokes. They're everywhere. And I created a new thread because it was the best way to ensure that my plea was read by as many folks as possible. If it got buried in another thread, it might be read by only a handful of readers, which wouldn't do a lot of good.
The RW jokes are most certainly not limited to just one thread or even just a handful of them. They are all over this place.
