The QB that should be starting for us is doing amazing things at Indiana

He'd have a butt full of bench. Pruitt isn't playing anyone besides JG until he is out of eligibility. He's shown incredible favoritism towards him.

the way the Vols are winning, he should show favouritism, right?

Pruitt ran Penix off in flavor of JG. Meanwhile, Guaranturnover continues to troll our team and Penix is beating Michigan.

Pruitt also ran off Adrian Martinez (Nebraska) and Sam Howell (UNC), who are both starting and playing well.

Think about that and the status of our QB situation. What a mess.

Penix was HORRIBLE today for IU for most of the game. Watched that game in Bloomington with a bunch of Iu fans. All of them were wishing that Peyton Ramsey was back today
The backup QB is always the answer...it’s a fundamental truth

Michael Penix Jr.

For those who are not familiar with this name...he was a highly touted UT commit in 2017. However, once Coach Pruitt took over he decided he did not want Michael Penix and he took his talents to Indiana. Now this dual threat QB is doing amazing things at Indiana...they just beat Penn State today..Hindsight is 20/20 but he would look great in UT orange this year.
Yea, we could be yelling to bench this clown instead of JG. 😂

Penix has now beaten Penn St and Michigan. Throwing for 342 yds, 3 TD, 0 picks.

Why did we send him away and keep JG again??
Ask Helton. And then ask yourself if he would’ve been on the field for us. He needed to get a chance to work through mistakes no matter the destination. First incompletion and this board would have 14 “Get him the hell off the field!” threads on him.

That’s correct. It’s the Manning effect. Unless the guy comes out and displays glimpses of all time great within his first couple games, he sucks and the coaches are idiots.

Vol fans booed Peyton off the field in 1994 vs Memphis. I believe. Most wanted Brandon Stewart to play.

Excellent example of how little fans know. I think I recall that too. Amazing how a once in a lifetime win for a program (Memphis at the time) can potentially change the trajectory of a program. Fulmer was fired because of Wyoming. Some program’s fans am I right?

Making the right decisions for players like Penix Jr is why major college head coaches make huge salaries. Pruitt...he just ain't real good at making the right decisions. But, Philly boy still gave him an extension to his contract this past summer in the middle of the fricking pandemic. Guess ole Philly boy is happy with the way things are going.

Let's be honest here: the truly biggest loss for both University of Tennessee's fans and the Southeastern Conference's fans by Michael not coming here was getting to make jokes and puns based on of his last name.

Penix

Booed? I would have hit him upside that ten foot tall fourhead at halftime of a florida game at Neyland when he threw 5 interceptions in the first half alone. Sorry but I do not worship at the alter of Peyton Manning. All I see is a smug, privledged punk who started when Tee Marting should have been starting. Tee was a much better COLLEGE qb than Peyton UT would have won two national championships in a row if Tee had started his Junior year.

The Memphis win was in Memphis in ‘96. The ‘94 game I was referring to was Peytons freshman year right before he really took off.
