The official UT vs UCLA game thread

i don't know about anyone else, but I and UNDERWHELMED by the offese. I knew there were going to be problems as with anything new, but this doesn't even look like what has been advertised since the spring game. This looks like a traditional Bill Walsh west coast offense where you are trying to use the short pass to set up the run. Knee-jerk reaction is to be very concerned right now.

crompton needs to step it up and show a lil poise.
o-line needs to learn how to run block.
foster is there because he is a better back than hardesty-though hardesty looks to have closed the gap a lil
were stuffing the run, which bodes well.
NO SACKS, got to get to the qb
4 picks and a couple more coming
WHat is fulmer doing having lincoln try a 55 yarder after he looked bad on a 51 yd attempt.

trying to match fg yardage with years he's been on this earth..since its his birthday and all...Im sure he wouldve tried the 57 yarder.:tease2:

Let's not get too worried. Don't forget, South Carolina looked horrible in the first half, had a good second half and everyone is talking about how good they looked. Our defense has a no-hitter going...it was special teams that let us down.

Why isn't Crompton going more mobile under pressure? I thought that was his strength?

You read my mind. All spring and summer I heard about his mobility being an added plus, when compared to Ainge. Haven't seen it so far, but the night is still young...

Had no intention of drinking tonight but the way the team is playing I'm now on my fourth PBR. I also am wondering what has happened to Crompton's mobility.

Tennessee has matched their own record (4) interceptions in the first half of the game....
Funny about the other 4 times we have done this..all bowl games
3 times in the Sugar Bowl, 1971, 57, 86
1 time in the Bluebonnet bowl, 1965

Well I don't know what to think right now... D looks awesome, Offense I'm still seein they suck bad. I will need to see some major improvements in this half.

Offense - D- and thats only because of Hardesty and Foster maybe. Recievers...decent too.

Defense - A. Solid pressure and ball hawking secondary!

I like what I've seen from the defense so far.
The same doesn't go for the offense, but if you expected them to look just dandy I would've told you it wasn't going to happen before we started. A new offense takes time to get in and get comfortable, aka the first half. I think we'll pick it up here in the second half and glide to an easy victory. I love what I'm seeing from the defense, but I also realize that's partly because of their offense. Here's to a great second half guys and sorry if you were just made dumber by reading the above.
