You're telling me the league doesn't value it while the league is simultaneously giving out $35 million contracts to undrafted rookies because of their defense. While Boston absolutely refuses to give up Rondo because of his defense. While OKC leaves their lottery pick on the bench so they can start defense, and then makes a trade to acquire interior defense. Keep telling me GMs don't care about it. They're too busy telling each other how Kevin Love is the next Dwight Howard.
Wesley Matthews averages 16 ppg and shoots a decent average (48% and 39% when he signed the contract). I'm pretty sure he didn't get $35 M for his D. You're a waste of my time.

Berri never played a sport in his life. He's an idiot pencil pusher. Everyone knew AI was on a serious downhill slide when he went to Denver, without even looking at stats.
BTW, you earlier stated that AI was a star player when Melo played with him. Changing your story?
I've done some reading on Berri since you've been pumping him up. No offense if he's your dad, but he's a moron.

When I said that, I specified that he was a star according to your standards. Iverson was one of my favorite players ever, but I recognize that he wasn't very good. When Denver got Iverson everyone was talking about them being a contender. You've got a funny way of remembering things. Iverson was scoring 31 ppg when he left Philly.
My standards? I thought AI sucked his entire career. He's always been an "And-1" player in a team sport. He's tough, sure, but he should have stuck to football. Common sense man! Start watching the game and quit reading the stats. If your hero Berri had a freakin clue and his stat evaluation was reliable he'd be running a betting site.

I think what you're really trying to explain is something you don't need a stat sheet to tell us.
AI and Melo are two of the best one-man wrecking crews to ever play offense in hoops, but their styles aren't conducive to team play and thus winning.
