the fiancee has the theory that Richard is St. Peter.

I think that Christian is the physical form of Jacob now. In the other time line where the plane did not crash, they lost his body...perhaps it fell out during the turbulence over the island.
I think Sayid is still going to be Sayid. Who knows though, I like where its going.
Im just glad that everyone on the island is in the same time now....less confusing.
I'm beginning to think we're dealing with an alien show. That the whole thing is going to tie into all the theories about aliens visiting earth thousands of years ago. For example, that power source located on the island is part of a space ship, presumably the part that powers the inter-stellar travel. Perhaps said ship crashed on the island thousands of years ago. These aliens are Jacob, the smoke monster, and whoever else. That concept could be used to explain a lot of other things throughout history that also seem to have relevance on the island, such as (i) the Atlantis legends, (ii) the Garden of Eden stories (e.g., the idea that man lived pure in nature - i.e., the Garden of Eden - until the astronauts came along and "civilized" us), (iii) some of the mysteries surrounding human evolution, (iv) all of the Egyption references, etc. I think it could explain pretty much everything on the show.
Do a little Google search on the ancient astronauts theory.
Just randomly thinking of things that support my "ancient aliens" theory of Lost. Remember when the Smoke dude (in John's body) says to the people on the beach "I'm disappointed in all of you!" What did he mean? Disappointed in what the human race has become following alien's "civilization" of man? Or, better yet, the aliens' manipulation of pre-human DNA to create modern man? Now, he is disappointed in what earthly humans have become. Just a thought.

I will probably get hammered for this. Well I know I will. But I still contend They make a come back before all is said and done.
I agree. The numbers made a brief appearance last season and I think we will be seeing them again at some point.
Also, the whole alien thing is ridiculous. That was one of the earliest theories back in season one. People can't figure out what is going on so they think it MUST be aliens because nothing else makes sense. The writers are too smart to have a cop-out ending that involves aliens.
