The Official Lakers Thread

If you're asking me if a regular season win on the road against a top conference team in a playoff atmosphere would've convinced me that this team would've been a threat then the answer is yes. Note I never said a threat to win the golden ball on the pedestal. But a dangerous team. It is all for moot away. I stand by my intial assessment that I don't think they get in.

A win would have meant nothing. They can't put together a streak of good games. They're capable of beating anyone when they play defense.

That's a rare these days.

He had a great game, the fact that the Pelicans rolled over and took it like a cheap whore the final 7 minutes should have no bearing on his night. That said, if it takes that much to eek out a win against the Pelicans on the road...

If you don't think they're catching Utah, you're foolish

They were getting twerked by 25 against the Pelicans.. luckily for them the Pelicans choked on it just like the Jazz have been. Even if they do get that 8th seed... they may win one in playoffs but no more than 2 at best. This team just isn't very good. They are old as balls.

I'll save Huffhines the time... those games against, ya know, NBA teams... still count

Thanks for going above and beyond to prove my point about LA fans and their bigs. I'm sure in your mind Kobe's performance is diminished because it was against New Orleans.

It is. He has not done it all year against a top 5 team. Of course the team has not either.

What is great is, you were probably one of the people saying he was giving no effort last year while playing for the Magic, while having better numbers through 54 games.

Actually, I was probably Dwight's biggest defender on this message board. He was deserving of criticism for being wishy-washy, but his play was great.

You're critical of his play, which is what I object to. If you want to criticize him for not signing a long term contract, be my guest.
