I got texted by my buddy at 11pm gloating about Kobe's performance (we've had this argument in the past).

Unbelievable down the stretch, but maybe if he didn't have 9 turnovers in the first 3 quarters they would've comfortably cruised to victory.

It is what it is man. If those w's would've come against the Thunder and Nuggets I'd be there with you. The fact is they were down double digits late against two bad teams and Kobe had to play out of his mind to win both against cupcakes

Your hate for Kobe is second to none. Yet you ignore the numerous articles just this weekend about Dwight admitting he had to recommit himself at all star break because he was a disappointment.

I'm used to watching Pacers games online but I mean come on, I can't even get them on national television against the Heat. I think the Pacers have had maybe two nationally televised games this season. They're just like the second best team in the east behind the Heat but no TV for them. lol

I don't get why Nate Robinson fell out of favor so much after his time with the Knicks. He's short and not much of a passer but he can score. I thought he might be on his way out of the NBA with the way he was sitting on the bench and dropped from teams. He's rebounded to be a solid player again.

Stat of the day...Artest has 1 dunk this season. Not that dunking makes you a good player, but it shows how lethargic he's become. If he just sat back and shot 3's he'd be OK...he's shooting 22% from 3-10', LOL.

All year I've been saying Kobe's been playing great, and that Meeks hasn't.

Your anecdote doesn't mean crap. All players make nice passes/plays that don't show up in the box score. Somebody who gets 8 assists per game is making more nice passes than Kobe that don't end up in the box score. Jodie Meeks has made nice passes that don't end up in the box score. It all averages out.

This article is awesome and refutes all of us to a certain extent. Robert Horry was the Lakers best player in the 2001 playoffs. D-Fish was their 2nd best player in the 2002 playoffs (shot 70%!!!).

That play would have been an assist in hockey. We may end up wasting the best season Kobe has ever had with horrible player personnel moves/non moves. Really sad.

My point is that players like Jodie Meeks are USELESS without Kobe Bryant being double teamed. Nothing in your statistical world captures that.
