The problem is they have a big 3 and after that they are very thin. The only part of the big 3 they refuse to trade is the old weak link. I don't see how it could be possible to move Pau or Bynum and get better. We'll see.

Not to mention a squad whose biggest problem is depth doesn't help themselves by trading 2 players for 1. Maybe it makes sense if they add Nelson or something (though he's having a poor season).

Note: Howard would be a great long term plan, but this trade doesn't change their fortunes this year and probably not next year either. They'd need to have a hell of an offseason.

You'll have a field day after Kobe played poorly tonight. I hope to goodness that L.A. can find some type of scorer before the deadline is up.

Wade with some unnecessary roughness on Kobe. Never heard of a concussion from getting socked in the nose.

Seems like a steal for the Lakers.

I heard the Lakers felt like they had to start him as long as he was there. They traded him rather than bench him. Not sure if that's really any better but it is what it is.

D-Fish pretended like he needed to leave Utah because we don't have the specialists his daughter needed for her eye condition....so he signed in LA and his daughter got her treatments in NYC. Although I tend to defend him against rabid Jazz fans, it was kind of a weak move. Maybe this is karma.

Sessions is a nice pick up.

Oh, and Kobe played very well last night. 30 on 18 shots. That's exactly what they want out of him.

In February and March Kobe has shot < 40% 13 times (in only 27 games). He's shooting .407 FG% and averaging 3.8 topg during that stretch, while only getting 4.1 apg.

Kobe is still a very good player, but for the last 2 months he's been among the worst players in the league.

But it is weird that Brown benched him yesterday, because he was having a decent game.
