We need to draft O lineman. We shouldn't anticipate having that many injuries again. With Tamme, Clark, Wayne, Gonzalez, Collie, and Garcon it's not likely that guys like Blair White will see too much of the field. We don't need another WR. Not with an early pick, anyways.
Gonzo isn't panning out, Tamme is inconsistent, Garcon has hands of stone at times, and Collie is a concussion machine.
He was basically a WR this season and he had a hell of a lot of drops.
Thanks, man. And I don't see Tamme on that list.
Tamme: 67 catches
TE's that are on the list...
Celek: 42 catches
Pettigrew: 71 catches
Gonzalez: 70 catches
Hernandez: 45 catches
Keller: 55 catches
Looks like Tamme had fewer drops per catch than the greatest TE ever. I'd say Tamme deserves a little more respect than this thread is offering.
says the guy who said he "had a hell of a lot of drops". Even if he's not a real TE it doesn't matter until we have an O Line that can run block.
He had plenty enough drops to raise a question about his worth as a tight end considering he can't block to save his life and Dallas Clark is a better receiver.
And it's insanely shocking that a guy that missed 6 games isn't topping the charts for drops.
It's not about # of games it's about reception opportunities and he had a lot. You can play 16 games, but 1 drop means you suck if you have only 4 catches. Tamme had 67 catches which made him 6th in the league among TE's. I'd say that's 16 games worth.
Clark is of course much better, but with their powers combined we could put together some pretty dangerous packages. Collie and Wayne as wide outs, Clark on the end of the line, and Tamme in the slot. If teams go with 4 DB's we'll exploit them with the pass. If teams go with 5 DB's we'll do some decent running for a change.
