you wouldnt consider it bandwagoning... to only like a guy because hes good in the pros??.. b/c he didnt do anything in college worth noting... if he had been a dud or mediocre i wouldnt see 20 people a day in TENNESSEE wearing INDIANAPOLIS stuff... i dont understand how people love the vols and Tennessee and then root against the TENNESSEE titans... blows my mind... its clearly bandwagoning at its finest
of course i am... same reason im a vols fan... and i PROMISE standings will never change my fan hood... by god im a grizzlies fan
Standings will never change mine either. It makes no since to pull for a team just because they are in the same state as you are. So you are a Titans fan, what if they move? Are you no longer a fan?
ive dedicated a lot of time.. so if they move now ill follow them.. until Tennessee gets another team.. but regardless
local team > because a teams good....
im proud to be a Tennessean.. born and raised... which peyton was neither
i also like how you act like there is no correlation ... isnt it ironic that this board has 0 bengal fans... 0 cardnial fans.. ive seen on patriot fan... but 1,000 colts fan... i guess its just a coincidence ... cant even go to a local bar with out 3 manning colt jersey hanging up
most Colts fans in TN started following them when their record was 3-13. To say it's because they're good is ridiculous. And blindly following a team because of their address is no different than following one for a player. There are no rules around being an NFL fan. I'm a Tennessean and hate the Titans. Peyton gave more to my #1 team than the Titans have ever give

What correlation? You said "because a team's good" which was absolutely not the case when PM was drafted.
Also when he was drafted the Colts marketed the hell out of TN (especially in Knoxville). All their games were on tv and there was Colts gear at every store. Meanwhile the Titans were taking shots at UT football and not making any friends. Is it really that hard to understand?
anyone can set through one bad year... and thats what it was ONCE.... if it continued youd be a titans fan... hate them now but it's because the colts play them twice a year.. no one was a jets fan when they drafted ainge... he one just as many NC's as peyton.. heismans.. and beat florida MORE... but no one follows him... weird

i live in chattanooga... i see more colts fans than Titans.. they were never showed on tv here over the titans... two correlations one PM the other being good... if you lose one of those... youre not a fan
the Titans have very little to do with TN. Rooting for UT is a completely different thing than rooting for an NFL team that just happens to move in near you.
i stress over it a lot ... for some reason... stupidest thing to care about... just sucks that i get **** being a titans fan in Tennessee ... that's the most irritating part
I get/understand the second part criticism.....the first one you lost me. A team playing in a state though seems to have alot to do with said state, especially considering how much the players of this one are involved in the community of the city they're in
so all those titans fans weren't following another NFL team at all before the one moved into town? I don't see what they do for the state that all residents should be forced to follow them or be called bandwagon fans.
no one should be forced to follow anyone. I'm of the near same opinion of utchavis that it's just "you like who you like for the reason you like" and that's that. Saying someone "should be a titans fan because of location" falls under that same category as that guy a few days back saying "if you don't support manning and his NFL team, then you're not a real fan of UT" to me
The they "have very little to do with TN" part is the one I think that I don't get / I don't think makes sense there...they have quite a fair amount to do with the state (esp. with the city they're in)
That said, no it's not enough of a reason to say "You HAVE TO LIKE Team A"....none of these things said have been
Let me start off by saying I care WAY to much... If it isn't obvious lol... Sports has always been the biggest part of my life(sadly) .. I used to be a die hard vols fan (90"s") but since the colts have outnumbered titans.. It has put me on the brink of not being a vols fan anymore.. I just can't stand the constant nut swinging by locals.. I might need an intervention... Lol... But not he'll from you guys ... More with my friends and people I work with .. Who mostly admit that that's why they are fans and some who will be Titan fan after he leaves.... But some like people on this board who have KNOW that's why they are a fan... Have though about it so much now they have built up hate for the titans(one of the worst NFL franchise) just to cope with their bandwagoning

if it's that easy to drop a team then I'm guessing you have no ties to UT. Maybe try the Mocs
and you repetitive "bandwagon fans" is not helping your case any. It seems like your friends are the issue and not the Colts fans. Maybe you should talk to them or choose new ones
