The Final Fantasy gameplay during xbox's conference is one of the worst things I've ever seen at an e3.

Yes, it was and it has some of the clunkiest combat I've seen. Was he just running left and right and getting punched by Titan? Scale Bound looks like a proper action JRPG.

Wait....they announced an Xbox One Slim, then immediately announce a new console for next year? Sounds kind of stupid, although they didn't give a price so it might be over $500.

That will be a definite no-go for me. I really don't believe them either when they claim they aren't leaving the Xbox One behind.

It will be much more than $500 with the specs they listed. I'm inclined to say it will be close to the $1000 range. PC builds with similar specs will run you around that.

Good luck with that Xbox.

If that's the route they are going I'll just convert full time to a PC gamer.

Seems they're trying to cut into the profits that typically go to hardware/PC manufacturers. Only reason I can think of to launch a console with that much horsepower....

Honestly, this is the best news ever for PC gamers as well.

The power of the Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2005/2006 pushed PC graphics forward in a big way.

Sony may get left in the dust here, especially if Microsoft continues to push the Windows 10/Xbox Live connection for online play.

I think they are counting on getting market share of gamers who want high-end PC graphics but don't want a big hulking tower in their entertainment center or don't know how to/care about building their own rig.

Overall I'd grade MS' conference a solid B+. The middle was a little slow but overall they did a good job.

As far actual games, I really liked Forza Horizons 3, Dead Rising 4, and State of Decay. Not interested in Gears, Halo Wars, Sea of Thieves, and Scalebound.

Most disappointing game was Re Core. I was really interested in that game and it didn't come across that great to me.

I know the Scorpio is going to be crazy expensive but I am in.

I really like what Xbox is doing with the play anywhere idea.

There were a lot of games that did not interest me but glad we got the full spectrum. Really pumped about Gears 4 and FH3.

OMG Final Fantasy combat was terrible.

Hoping Sony brings up NEO tonight.

Overall I thought the conference was mostly meh. Halo Wars 2 and Dead Rising 4 are the only definite buys for me for the newly shown games. I was already going to buy Gears of War 4.

The Minecraft segment was cringe-worthy and the Sea of Thieves segment wasn't much better.

One of the highlights of the entire set. I love the idea of single purchase for titles and playing Xbox games on my laptop and vice-versa.

Apparently the talk is Dead Rising 4 is an updated remake of the original. It makes sense given that some of the game play it looked like it was taking place in a mall just like the original. Plus they put some emphasis on showing him taking pictures on his phone, and photography was a somewhat big part of the original.

State of Decay consumed my entire summer in 2013. I'm excited to see it back.

Scalebound and Sea of Thieves will scratch the co-op itch.

Final Fantasy 15's "Titan Fight" was sad. That series used to dominate the scene and now it's laughed at.

No way MS sells the Scorpio at PC prices. They'll eat some hardware costs before they make that mistake. Before Phil Spencer, I'd believe that though.

"Play Anywhere" is a great concept in theory I guess but I'm sitting here trying to think of a scenario where I would even take advantage of that. I game at home in front of my TV. Yes I have a PC but it's for office stuff and internet. I don't really game on it. The whole Xbox/Windows cross buy is nice but the way I see it, if I'm gaming on a high end PC, I'm NOT gaming on an Xbox and vice versa. To me it's totally redundant to have both.

I wasn't all that impressed with the GOW4 beta, but that coop campaign game play looks solid.

Same as cross buy/play for Vita and PS4. One is obviously superior, but it sucks carrying a console around. If I can play my Xbox games on my laptop when away from home, I'm down. Whichever one has the superior graphics doesn't matter to me. I play the Vita version of games more than I did on my Ps4.

South Park Fractured But Whole looks great.

They also announced during the Ubisoft conference that anyone who preorders the game will get Stick of Truth for free for the Xbox One or PS4.

I've always thought the new Ghost Recon has potential. But I have zero faith in Ubisoft.
