The Official Denver Broncos Thread

Trevathan wasn't the same after his injury. And you are always going to lose some players. They lost Julius Thomas, Orlando Franklin, Pot Roast, etc. last year.

Malik was a star for the second half of the season. Stars are harder to replace.

QB is going to be a big problem - They should take Prescott in round one and start him right away rather than fooling around with journeymen NFL backups

Meh, they're just gonna run 35 times a game with this line and a FB in the game.

Sanchez isn't as bad as everyone seems to think. He played 48 games of decent/good football and then he played 25 games of poor football...this Broncos team is built like the teams he succeeded with.

Prescott is a decent runner too - which is why I would take him over any of the others

It's not a done deal yet

But before a deal is completed, the 49ers, Broncos and Kaepernick have to agree on who will pay the quarterback's $11.9 million guaranteed salary for this upcoming season, according to a source.

The Broncos are willing to pay $7 million, a source confirmed to ESPN. But Denver and Kaepernick would like the San Francisco to pay the remaining $4.9 million; the 49ers have been unwilling, according to a source, believing they should not have to pay for a player they'd like to keep on their roster. Kaepernick has also been unwilling to forfeit the $4.9 million to make the deal work, according to a source.

Denver coach Gary Kubiak has spoken with free-agent quarterback Johnny Manziel as a potential fit for the Broncos' roster down the line, two sources with or tied to the team told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

I know they have issues at quarterback, but why a Super Bowl winning team would bring him in is a mystery to me. Take Cook or Prescott in the second and let them compete with Sanchez.
