The Official Denver Broncos Thread

Gave up 21 but pretty much controlled the game the whole time. Plus a couple of pics. Good night for the D really.

Peyton Manning is on pace for 4800 yards, 50 TDs, and only 7 INTs. Back to back 50 TD seasons would be insane.

What did the scoreboard and audio people do that pissed off Peyton?

They kept on getting the crowd rowdy before offensive snaps. There was at least one false start because of it.

He also didn't like them replaying footage of Rivers' tantrums. He called it "disrespectful" to the other team's QB.

I don't blame them for showing the footage. It's pretty hilarious in light of the fact that helmet radios don't offer 2-way communication.

"I got a problem with our scoreboard operator; I've got to have a little talk with him. I'm not sure what he's doing. He's playing music and showing players dancing, getting the crowd fired up and we have the ball. I don't think we should be doing that."

"And I don't think we should be showing their quarterback on the sideline,'' Manning said. "I thought that was kind of disrespectful . . . our scoreboard operator, it wasn't his best night.''

He's absolutely right. Not sure about calling him out in public, but it is what it is.

Why is it whenever Manning had to play the Pats it is in Foxboro 90% of the time (not counting playoffs)?

I was just about to say the same thing. My Pats buddy was complaining about it, because he wants them to play in Denver so he can go to the game. I swear to God Manning's played this rivalry on the road 70% of the time.

This is the 17th meeting, and will be the 10th time Brady hosted, so 60% of the time. Manning hasn't hosted Brady in the regular season since 2009.

As long as it's nice weather, I like the Broncos chances.

It just seems like some sort of mental thing with Manning and Brady. You remember last year, up 24-0 at half time and they lost?

This will be a much better game than I thought it was going to be. I think Denver wins a close one.

The Broncos tried to run in the 3rd quarter and had the ball for like 1 minute, and then were throwing into 40 mph wind in the 4th quarter. If they just played regular gameplan in the 3rd quarter they could have used up some clock and maybe scored.

Manning never had the greatest arm strength...now probably worst in the league. He just can't throw into that kind of wind. I don't think it's mental at all. All physical.

These games are always special, particularly as Manning and Brady get closer to retirement. You never know if it will the last time they face each other so enjoy it while you can.

Although I've enjoyed watching them battle all these years, it would have been cool if they played in different conferences so we may have had the opportunity to see them play in the Super Bowl. Just a hunch, but my guess is they would have squared off in the big game on several occasions.

Huff do you have a stat that measures the value of Champ Bailey. I consider him the greatest of all-time but have little to back that up. Shut down corners are hard to quantify. I know he was one for damn near a decade. And he was an excellent tackler. The Broncos just never helped him with a pass rush to increase the flashy numbers.
