Lol. So his 8-1 record vs Kentucky is that bad?
He has done something significant there.
Hes literally surpassed averages st that school in wins, rankings, recruiting rankings, among others. If you really dont think what he has done at that job compared to their all time history, youre sadly mistaken
8-1 is not bad. It's the fact that the loss happened in his 8th year in a losing season. And that wasn't even his worst loss. He actually lost EASIER games to cupcakes. He's a good coach, not a great coach. I don't want to pay $6MM+ to lose to cupcakes.

Gruden, Patterson, Peterson, Kelly. If not them, I would even take someone like a Taggart or, maybe, Fuente.
Actually I have a list of good coaches that I wouldnt be against:
Gruden
Patterson
Peterson
Fuente
Frost
All 5 of those candidates would be better than Mullen.

So, he's a little better than all their previous terrible coaches? Amazing, sign him up.
Like I said, this is the type of mentality that gets us jokers like Butch Jones and Derek Dooley. I can almost see the conversation now:
"How can we fix the problem of finishing at the bottom of the SEC East? I know!!! Let's hire the guy who finishes at the bottom of the SEC West! He's not as bad as Sylvester Croom, so he should be awesome here."
No thank you. Get a real winner.

Same thing could be said about Mullen.
I know I know, he almost beat Saban.
Thats just what we need again is another moral victory coach.
