Wondering how Ruger is making $ off the new Wrangler 22lr revolver. Made in USA at MSRP $249. IIRC I paid about $425 for a new single six convertible with notched rear sight a few years ago and current MSRP is $699. Loss leader?

Looks to be investment casting according to the press release. That an an aluminum alloy frame.

That probably saves a bunch of money right there.

Indeed. Thats the good thing about the 44-40. The case mouth is so thin it seals the chamber very well and you have very limited blowback. I will still use the regular black powder cleaning methods, but it’s not quite as intensive.

Will you use real black powder or a modern day replacement like pyrodex?

I have a pretty good supply of goex. I’ll probably stick with that till i can round up some of the Swiss ffg.
